It was a bit confusing, I think they skipped over some of it - Deb handled all of the planting of the evidence, not sure how she got into the tacklebox they were looking into.

I presumed they planted the whole thing, tacklebox and all. After all Doakes, a fishing motherfucker? I don't think so. They went to the lengths of buying an old warehouse at a dockyard to frame him and Maria sounded surprised to see it there.
Obviously there's no point to wondering why either she hadn't been through the Doakes evidence before or why she wouldn't be puzzled because she hadn't seen a huge fucking tackle box when she did :CurrentDexterWriters:

How do you people debate about this show so much? Have you even been fucking watching it? The writers make whatever the fuck they want to happen, happen. The show is only worth watching for whatever will be the most ridiculous plot device introduced for the week.
I'm pretty sure she has 0 evidence to corroborate any claims vs Dexter or Deb, and given her history she's hardly a model witness.

The girl who plays Deb is pretty man-like, nothing but her bitchy attitude and half a pound of foundation to remind you she's a female. It reminds me of that line in True Lies about Jamie Lee Curtis, "Ass like a 12-year old boy, amirite?!"

While this is obviously a true statement, with this show it seems parsing it is at least somewhat futile. With all the gross inconsistencies and all the plot holes would anyone really be surprised if we found out that the dark passenger is actually something done telepathically by super intelligent space monkeys? Would be about as believable as the scripts already in place.

this was before she became an established serial killer. like when she stabbed that woman in the chest when she was on the run with that other serial killer. she didnt need that florist business, she wanted it and so she took it by killing the previous owner. sure she has little excuses for why she did this or that, but at the end of the day. she intentionally killed at least 5 people, the majority of were by using her little plants.
