How are they handling expansions for the consoles?

Also, did they ever add some PvP?

Could they really turn this game around? I don't think I have ever been more disappointed in any game as I was with this one. I guess I thought to myself, how can you mess this game up?

Yeah well it was the obvious way to make the game. How they didn't bother doing this shit 2years ago, or whenever it was in beta, is the hard to comprehend part. And why they picked fucking paladin instead of necro for this expansion, but that's another story.

Anyway these "new" additions look really good. Along with the items remake shit and the removal of AH, I think D3 might actually be good, which means I'll have to spend more money on it even though I thought the original was a waste of my money. Good job blizzard I guess.

eXarc's Charity Fund Update!

I've now received help from multiple people and actually have an abundance of amazingly awesome items, cash and gems.

If anyone on PS3 console version would like any HIGH END (I'm talking fucking A+, perfect stats) gear for any class, PM me or msg me on PSN - Verseia andI'll hook you the fuck up!Disclaimer: All level 60 gear.

Also, like I said, I have more than items! If you need any kind of crafting item, gem, tome or cash I will be happy to help.

Thanks for all the help, especially Profundis.

Anything to consider if coming back to play Diablo 3? Any major changes? Been trying to search a bit online but the expansion and some the changes look pretty decent.

Thank fucking god for randomized levels + randomized mobs. That's basically all I ever wanted from this fucking game. The mind boggles at not having this stuff in 2 years ago, but I'm happy it is finally here. Ugh - might have to go back to PC from 360, and that means finding my fucking authenticator...

Did they mention anything about the semi loot 2.0 on consoles coming to PC?
Sounded like it will be very similar, and will be added in the pre RoS patch (probably when the AH goes bye bye)

The Loot 2.0 philosophy is: Less is more, Items Support Builds, Rarity = Power
Smart Drop affects Item Type, Items Stats and Skill Affixes
Previously some rolls were 1-100 Strength (for example). Now the range is much lesser: 75-100
Item stats are now separated into Primary and Secondary. All items will have a fixed number of both. It's displayed on the tooltip
Legendary used to be hard to find in the game. Players wanted more of them, but really they just wanted them to be better
The new philosophy for the expansion is "endgame for everyone"
Legendary are still by far the most rare items, but are also the most powerful in RoS, by far
Legendary items will drop at the killed monster's level. If you kill a level 33 monster you can get a level 33 Legendary
All Legendaries are revamped in Loot 2.0
A lot of unique powers are given to them
Frostburn Gauntlets for example increased Cold skills damage by 27% and an effect - 50% chance to Freeze instead of slow enemies
"Grey" text comes up when you hold control over an item - it shows the max and min values of the stats on an item
Examples of new affixes -

Haroutunian Arm Guards - Every time you destroy a wreckable object, you gain a short burst of speed
Illusory Boots - you may move unhindered through enemies
Tiklandian Visage - Horrify causes you to Fear and Root enemies around you for 8 seconds
Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker - Chance on hit to blast your enemy with Lightning and slow its attack speed and movement speed; This effect jumps to additional enemies
Ninja Gloves and Ninja Boots (Set bonus): (2 pieces) - Your Spike Traps lure enemies to them; (4 pieces) Automatically cast Smoke Screen when you fall below 25% Life. This effect only occurs once every 30 seconds

If you want to grind out Paragon levels (AA points of RoS), then go ahead, equipment is dirt cheap for MP 1-5 (depending on class), but otherwise there's really no point I think. They are bumping the level cap to 70, so there will be a soft reset for gear. The game still offers the smoothest online experience, especially compared to, say, PoE.

Was a little disheartened that Console and PC Community cannot play together. I'll probably stick to PC but I was actually considering trying out PC games on the new consoles. Still considering D3 and FFXIV as birthday presents but it is hard to give up the power and conveniences of a PC.

I've suspended my FFXIV account until PvP and a few updates go in and will probably hang around D3 and see what happens. I wish I had more time to game but I pretty much get time for one game anymore.

Aren't they putting in ladders with the expansion anyways? Why even bother with this game until that?

So Nephalem Trials got throw in the trash heap. Was looking forward to that. I think Blizzard is pretty talent devoid at the moment if they can't even implement a feature like that in a fun way.

-edit-

Alright after doing a bit more reading Nephalem Trials were simply events in the world accessed via portals where you'd just play against endlessly advancing mobs. Nephalem Rifts is the new "loot run" stuff -- which is still in the game.

Also rumors ladder won't come with launch of RoS.

I'm still playing on pc, bought enough gear with my 15 dollar self made limit to solo mp10 comfortably. I really like the gameplay of the monk. Using sw cyclone with 25% wkl, overawe, exploding palm, and two defensives. One with Everything boosted my resists over 700 and due to my build I rarely run out of spirit. Its way different than a bell build, but refreshing since I played bells the entire rest of the time.

I havent done the ubers yet, but plan to. Hunting keywardens is a fun little thing to do. Gaining paragon is still rewarding as im only plvl20.

The stuff they are adding for RoS looks awesome, nephalem rifts, paragon points becoming more like AA in that you can spend them specifically into what you want, the loot reworking. I hope we get a little grit or horror out of this new threat, not getting my hopes up though.

Recently picked this up for Console, as I wanted to try out the loot changes, and experience no AH. It's been hella fun playing classes I never played on PC. I was too focused on one, and then ended up getting banned for... stuff...

If anyone is playing on Xbox and wants to team up... I play on Hard mode, and in Act 1 currently: KrunkyCrone.

I just got the XBox 360 version...I'm curious do things from the PC generally apply to the Console? Trying to figure out what skills to use and weapon types that are best.

In terms of skills, it's exactly the same except it's a bit harder to aim ground-targeted AoE spells with a controller. Anything else is fine and I think the game handles better on a console. The real difference is in the loot mechanics, the console version has "Loot 1.5" which is some bastardization of the current PC loot system and the Loot 2.0 system they're planning for the expansion. It basically means that every item rolls with the main stat for your class, and stats are generally much higher. You find vastly better gear than on the PC, to the point where it frankly trivializes the game and makes it boring because your character becomes overpowered almost instantly. Each new difficulty level literally gets easier than the previous -- normal is the hardest and inferno is the easiest. It's pretty ridiculous. Mechanically, however, the console version is excellent.
