I just started back up last night and wow this patch is a night and day difference from what I played at release. This is a really good game now!

So many people don't realize they can craft upgrades also, I promise you if you were farming mp5 and you're dying in t1 go craft new bracers/shoulders/chest and you will increase your ehp 50%. And its not like it takes a lot of rolls to upgrade either. You can craft bis pants too if you have something like the gehennas plan or 6 prop leg plan. I see so many people still wearing pre 2.01 crafted bracers and vile wards when the shit you craft now beats them by a wide margin.
Ill have to try this. I had most of the archon plans pre 2.0 but no chest or pants patterns that I know of.

So whats a good barb leveling build? I seem to be doing okay using Cleave / Rend. I can't kill loot goblins though they run and i can't catch them / do good damage. Im playing on expert I may have to kick it down to master since i don't have any real dps legendaries.

Expert is lower than master, you mean hard. I leveled my barb with Frenzy, alternating between the rune to move faster, the rune that buffs damage(but that's the higher lvl one iirc) and Sidearm which does more damage, Rend with the healing rune, Hammer of the Ancient with the damage rune(fire one) as an additional dump, also played around with boulder toss as a dump for a bit, Leap with whatever rune, Furious Charge with the cooldown reduction then the rage rune when it unlocked and last ability was a cooldown, I switched between earthquake/ancients/the other one depending on my mood. Just run around, Rend everything, dump fury to kill shit faster, leap/charge to get fury back and keep moving, pop cooldown on rares, frenzy to increase DPS on high hp rares. Think passives were vit into armor, 40%more damage on low hp mobs and the elemental reduction one when I got that but before I think it was the other armor one maybe, not sure, brawler for a while too when I could survive fine.

Is it really that I'm just that far behind on paragon levels?

This is the same build I've been using for pretty much the last 8 months or so minus the fetish sycophants.....just started using that passive recently and I'm liking it.

This build is mana intensive, hence the big bad voodoo which I pop out during elite battles. The mass confusion is nice to hit a group of elites with.....at least one of them will usually be confused which causes the others to beat on it instead of you. Hex is another skill I can't live without....set it down next to a group of elites and one of them will be instantly polymorphed...again, not able to hit you. IMO, you can't beat the crowd control that this build provides. Firebats are by far the most powerful WD attack I've used.....I crit very often for 2 million plus, and a lot of that is due to the new items I've looted/crafted with extra fire damage.

Another tip for maximum firebat carnage is to run without any pets or followers....this lets all the mobs run straight to you, although the damage the sycophants do kinda has me on the fence. I just try to run into the middle of packs of 3 or more before the fetish dudes can get anybody's attention.

I'm doing T3/T4 with this gear and build.

Yeah Ive been doing Torment2 consistently but with some champ packs raping me, I think I might tone it down to 1 and just focus on killing faster.
I've done a fair amount of farming on T2. I'm with DW in that it doesn't seem all that profitable compared to T2. I farm on T1, and it's melt face.

Do any Wizzies here use Archon? I use Improved Archon, and it's a big fancy I Win button.

I think cyclone strike has spoiled me. I look at all these witch doctor builds and the flaw I see in most of them is: what do you do about mobs that don't run to you? Or are really slow at getting to you?

Given up on my barb for now. Maybe level 70 will fix things, but right now it's just anti-fun to play. Wizard clears easily twice as fast with worse gear and you get to feel like a boss doing it. Meanwhile barb is a clunky mess that is constantly out of fury and runs around in circles waiting for wrath for the berserker to have a prayer vs elites.

Only salvation I can see is somehow to abuse Avalanche and Earthen Might. I had some nice ideas for builds centered around getting a lot of fury from Avalanche/Earthen Might and then resetting it quickly through fury use. But they've nerfed just about every fury source since then. S&B, Animosity, Earthen Might, Superstition, Weapon Master(Mighty), and all of the fury generators have been nerfed 1-2 times during beta.

Whatever Blizzard did right with spirit generators, they need to duplicate to other classes. I love Frozen Orb, I hate that I have to spend any time casting that puny electrocute to get my arcane power back. But using a monk's spirit generator doesn't feel bad to me. Maybe it's because the animations are well done and quick. Maybe it's that most are AE damage, substantial AE at that. Maybe it's that most have decent to oustanding proc coefficients so you get those lovely sweeping winds spinup noises accompanied by those nice thuds of cyclones spawning(I think that's what makes that noise). And most important, THEY GENERATE A LOT OF SPIRIT. Jesus, is that really so hard? 3 really quick strikes of WoTHF and I've got enough spirit for another LTK. What does 3 cleaves get you?

Yep, this is why I can't play any other class, all their generators are boring as fuck.

I just went back and tried playing my barb and holy shit it was terrible. You never have enough fury to do anything even with the fury passives and skills that give more fury. They need to be able to generate fury about 4 to 5 times faster than they currently do just to keep up with the way other classes can spam their spenders, it's ridiculous.

My mage can spam frozen orbs all day and when he's out of arcane power, I can literally get it back to full in like a second. Same goes for demon hunter.

I realize they needed to nerf barbs from what they were but man they went overboard.

There's my WD build, he's definitely my favorite 60. The build was originally posted a couple pages back, I haven't bothered trying to refine it because it wrecks shit for me just fine.
This is basically my build too. You just let your pets do the work for you. Been playing both solo and with groups in Tor I and II and never had a pet die and never died myself. If the mobs are easy you can stay close, stand still and spew Bats all over the place for massive dps, or if the mobs are hard, or you need to run around a lot (arcane enchanter) then just stay out of the way and let your pets kill it. It's a bit slower but never fails. The only real trick is to realise that while Bats has a high initial cost, it's free to channel, so try to keep your clicking to a minimum by standing still and spewing if you can.

I'm in the same boat. My barb was my first character to 60 and I have almost 250 hours on him but now that the 2.0.1 patch is out, he's at the bottom of my character list (that's the worst thing I can do to him...). I tried a few new builds yesterday but I find that if I don't stack a ton of loh or go all defensive, I can't handle T3 mobs nor can I keep my fury up long enough to land the heavy hitters. I guess I'll just stick to my wizard and witch doctor until the expansion.

Going back to crafting, I have 6 prop belt and hat recipes if anyone would like me to craft some things for them. For example, the hat can roll 300+ main stat/vit, a skill, and socket, or main stat/crit/skill/socket, it can not roll something like main stat/vit/crit/skill/socket because those are all primary affixes and they always roll 4 primary/ 2 secondary. If you are going for a particular skill it can take quite a few crafts for just the one you want.

I found out there are all new crafting materials in RoS so you don't need to hoard your crafting materials.

Does anyone have the gehennas(actually are these tradeable? maybe not) or a 6 prop leg plan? I might be interested in rolling some if someone didn't mind taking the time to help. I could use some boots too(my current ones are only 5 prop), if anyone has the 6 prop plan, I thought I did, but actually I was just contemplating buying it last night.
