One of the things I hate about the seasonal journey is they require these conquests but the conquests portion is autocompleted if you do all the other things you need to do for the seasonal journey. So basically the conquests mean nothing.

Only one conquest is completed automatically, clearing GR60, which is done from doing GR60 solo. The others you have to work on, though by the time you get there they're very easy. The timed rift clearing conquest is T10 in 2mins but the journey is 3mins(which is A LOT less annoying to do), the gem one is 6x50 for the conquest but 3x60 for the journey so you get halfway done but I find it pretty time consuming. I find it's quite easier to do GR40 without class sets(very easy to do even early, probably the easiest conquest) and all bosses in 30mins if you reroll the game until you find good shrines with Gloves of Worship on or if you have people to help.

If you did it in story mode it'd be impossible, even as the fastest class in the game. It's 30mins in adventure mode. A bunch of the bosses still require running around to find them, Malthael/Adria/Fire angel most notably who are in those stupid act5 huge zones but also act1 spider, act3 ghom, act4 diablo. That's why a group makes it a lot easier, you can have people running to their bosses then recall at the entrance and then only use direct teleports via the map to keep their portal open so you can chain all the annoying ones rapidly. Definitely doable solo if you have good speed though, like as a WD it's a snoozefest to do once your gear is good enough to kill them quick, I had 7 or 8mins to spare when I did it on my first try.
It's either this one or 6gems to 50 imo. Then you do GR60 obviously and GR40 without set which is piss easy if you prepare a bit for it(F+R is insane, ancient weapons too, blackthorne 2pc, random legendary armor that provide damage boosts, class specific 2set pcs can help too like shenlong and bulkathos etc). That's your 3conquests for the season journey.

Still missing focus for my dps awesomeness set, which is keeping me from really expanding upwards. Is there an easy way to get this that I am missing or is it all blood shards and db upgrade lotto?

Yeah, I wouldn't spend shards on rings unless you have nothing else to do with them; at most I buy enough rings with shards to cover the amount of cube mats I'm willing to spend at the moment. I've never understood why they felt the need to be retarded with the pricing on a handful of items. Especially amulets, since like 99% of all builds are like, "Get a Hellfire."
And if RNGesus hates you as much as me, you'll get a shitty Focus and decent Restraint, and then the game proceeds to give you like ten more Restraints that are all better than your Focus, but not upgrades to your Restraint. Fucking troll game.

I have literally every other piece for helltooth zombie bears set, including ancient scrimshaw and a decent hellfire with pierce the veil on it. I may have to revisit some stuff, since I still run with dogs out for extra healing and tanky tanking, but I have a restraint gathering dust waiting for focus to finish the set out. I can do GR40, but it's slow going. I may have to start dumping some rerolls on my other stuff while I farm dbs, unless that costs dbs too. Try for ancient rolls. I've been dumping blood shards on my barbarian, but her IK set is almost done. Just need belt.

Yes, there were 2 expansions planned originally, however the D3 development was enough of a clusterfuck that they might have changed their plans. Still, wouldn't surprise me if they announced something at Blizzcon.

I just play casually, but this weekend I manage to go from Torment 2 to Torment 7 with my Seasonal Hardcore Witch Doctor.
I had such shitty luck putting a set together, and this weekend finally manage to get the 4 and 6th set bonus for Zunimassa set.
I'm missing a Focus ring, have restraint. And still missing Starmetal Kukri. Then I'll have all the pieces for the build...and can start going for Torment 10, and push higher GR to level my gems.
Hardcore can be so stressful at times, especially when you die and are saved by Spirit Vessel, then you just run in a corner and wait for cooldown to be back up.

Wtb another expansion. 2.0 was basically how the game should have shipped and 2.3 should have been the major expac holdover patch.
