Crafting
Requirement for unique legendary crafting material (i.e. Essence of the Twin Seas) has been removed for crafted legendary / set items.

These crafting materials can be sold to vendors for 50,000 (yes 50K) gold each
Adjusted reagent requirements (set items require more Death?s Breaths; weapons no longer need Death?s Breath to craft)

HOLY CRAP
Holy crap indeed! Cannot believe I wasted all that time farming mats. Happy with the change however. Now I can try and create some near-perfect stuff since I have thousands of each mat it seems.

Only mats I farmed are ones I actually used so I don't feel so bad. Plus I have half a stash full of unique mats I was never gonna use, so that's bonus gold for me! Although 50k isn't that much once you can start farming on Torment 3 or 4, and with gem combines costing so many times more than that.

Wow, they just threw up their hands at the crafting system and said "yea we fucked that one up"

Hope they fix Furious Charge and buff Raekor's set next patch.

Monk set changes look pathetic.
Wtf are you talking about? Did you even read them? Do you even monk?

Monkey King's Garb
4 set bonus:

Previously: Spending 75 Spirit causes a decoy to spawn that taunts nearby enemies and then explodes for 100%weapon damage as Holy.

Now: Spending 75 Spirit causes a decoy to spawn that taunts nearby enemies and then explodes for 1600% weapon damage as Holy.

Decoy taunt radius decreased from 20 to 15 meters
Decoy explosion delay decreased from 1 to 0.5 seconds

Raiment of a Thousand Storms
6 set bonus:

Previously: Whenever you teleport to an enemy, release Lightning at all nearby enemies for 100% weapon damage.

Now: Whenever you cast dashing strike, release Lightning at all nearby enemies for 3000% weapon damage.

Damage radius decreased from 20 to 15 meters

The Thousand Storms 6 piece bonus is simply OP as shit and I would be surprised if they let it go to live servers. Even if it isn't affected by +lightning it lets a monk do 4000% damage every 6 seconds (assuming no CDR), OR do 12,000% damage all at once every 18 seconds for ZERO spirit, i.e. FREE. Are you trolling, or does it feel THAT awesome to be the first to poo-poo something without actually stopping to consider whether or not it's merited?

HAHAHAHA at the crafting solution.

" Ahh just Fuck it. We wanted to create an alternate system for getting loot but since nobody liked it we just did away with it."

What a cop out

Patch 2.07

Crafting

We have changed the system so that all that you have to do is press a button and you get a perfectly rolled legendary.

Players will now have all recipes in their book and no longer will need to train to level their appropriate crafter.

"Note on Future Patch for Crafting"

As we realize that pushing a button might be too difficult for players, we will be placing a system in that will just dress a character in the appropriate legendaries as soon as they hit 70th level. We expect this to be hotfixed prior to patch 2.08.

Actually the legendary set buff and the crafting changes suggests massive item changes/new items in 2.1/seasons. They always trivialize access to legacy items like this just before new major content patches/xpacs/currency changes.

If I spend 75 spirit, shit better be dead already. Somewhat useful on elites and bosses.

Dashing strike is a mobility skill. Don't care how much damage it does, never going to use those charges with the intention to kill. If you start doing that, you'll find yourself in situations where you wish you had a charge.

So you wouldn't use Dashing Strike as a damage skill if it was your most damaging skill by far?

So having a spirit pool of greater than 75 is pointless? Is Sweeping Wind also pathetic, assuming you dont have the Inna's bonus making it not cost 75 spirit? I don't understand your point.

The whole point of rare items and set bonuses is to change up people builds, presumably by changing the way abilities work. In other words, the idea behind the bonus to Dashing Strike is make it a mobility skill AND a really fucking powerful damage skill so that you can, y'know, change the way your build works.

Solid arguments here, though. You really made me rethink my original assessment.

did we make a new clan, or should I start inviting just got home, also changes to monk seem underwhelming, I thought it was gonna be a major overhaul or it was just sets and like 3 abilities?

All of the monk and crafting changes are in now by the way, gonna try the dashing strike stuff once I lotto the pants. Its kind of like leap slam, nothing you would ever use but the after effect from the set bonus makes it worthwhile. With the passive for the extra slot it could be pretty strong, I mean dumping 3k weapon damage is no joke and its multiple times on a low cooldown.

They also added improved information which is really cool, stole this from GAF

I made like 80mill off selling crafting mats, kinda irked I found 3 SoHs on my barb and zero on my monk and I want to go lightning so bad =/

are procs and stuff like that effected by lightning %? trying to figure out what spec / pieces of gear to use.

yah so I thought this was supposed to be a big patch for monks, the set changes are good but what happened to shitty passives being looked at?

What mats tdid they discontinue? other than the unique legendary ones? or was that it?
All of the legendary items you can craft. You dont need to hunt any named anymore. The required mats are all within range now too, even bracers got toned way down for blue reqs.

Changes to the Monk sets and Momentum is all well and good but I still don't feel like it's worth playing mine until they do something about OWE. My crusader (and barb and wiz and WD) is tankier with way less fucking effort, and probably easier to get damage on as well since I don't have to worry about that extra perfect roll.

Edit: lol, the material costs on the crafted items is still all over the place. Just lets you farm more generally now I guess.

So you wouldn't use Dashing Strike as a damage skill if it was your most damaging skill by far?
Not likely. It's not effected by CDR, so 6s is a bit too long to make a steady kill skill. Still better serves your clear speed as a mobility skill. Now, whether your mobility skill also doing damage is a better set bonus than other items you can get in those slots, don't know.

The explosion from the set will be mostly extraneous damage, wasted. What does that have to do with sweeping winds? Surely you're not letting it fall off every pack?

Yes, they are solid arguments. You're blathering on about damage when I've already said I don't care about the damage. Address my concerns or shutup.
