So does the cap just go up with player level? We should know what the level 100 cap is by now
That's because it's just a random yellow with a mod put on it.Lol that is so generic and uninspired.
It has dual crit, life and a conditonal damage mod. Is that what passes for good itemisation now? That's because it's just a random yellow with a mod put on it.
It's an extremely good random yellow.
There's no itemization, it's a random yellow. It has dual crit, life and a conditonal damage mod. Is that what passes for good itemisation now?
I said that they shouldn't be this random so that I want to fall asleep when I look at it and have no clear way to get my own other than manually looking at every yellow ring. There's no itemization, it's a random yellow.
Do you not understand random?

And yes, there are base mods on items and they are area-specific. For instance, you've got pants that give barrier when you take a pot, or boots that give more max evade charges or movement speed on evade, etc.
I feel like people here don't even know how to read the item tooltips anymore, or are just too dumb to understand the game they're playing.
Do you not notice that it has a perfect life roll and a perfect crit roll, and a high crit damage roll, and a relevant 4th mod?I said that they shouldn't be this random so that I want to fall asleep when I look at it and have no clear way to get my own other than manually looking at every yellow ring.
You backtracked very quickly from "item porn" to "random yellow" that has the same stats everyone is stacking in every RPG.

No.Do you not notice that it has a perfect life roll and a perfect crit roll, and a high crit damage roll, and a relevant 4th mod?
Do you just think every item that drops should be a unique? So you can then complain about the uniques not being good for X build?
If you're complaining that items have random stats and you don't want to look at items with random stats, you are playing the wrong series and likely the wrong genre entirely.
Yea.I don't know but the tree of whispers kind of blows asscheeks, you either should be opening your helltide mystery boxes or doing nightmares of gear and glyph upgrades any other activity is a waste of time.
I agree, but I think they might add in areas to the map, mainly because of the large empty section in Hawezar (Lost City of Ureh):Seasons are going to be the exact same as d3
slap a couple of seasonal uniques with ok interactions, bunch of sets forcing you into an even narrower path of character building, call it a day.
the fact they took absolutely no risks with d4 should make this very clear.
If Im comparing it to anything, its passively and in general. The game, especially when you start working on and are actively involved in the "end game" - which for most people here, is the actual meat and bones of it all - has nothing extremely special, nor does it have anything extremely terrible. Finally getting the unique I wanted wasnt revolutionary to the experience, as it was just a mild tweak to how I was already playing. Thankful to get it finally, but.. I just thought it would be "more". On the other side of that, there was never a moment in the entire game that made me get so disgusted with it that I wanted to log off. The combat in general is adequate, but is ultimately held back by the developers "play it safe" design decisions. When you say mid, or others giving various 7/10 ratings, etc. what exactly are you comparing it to? PoE, Grim dawn, Last epoch, lost ark, etc? or, games in general? or d2 and 3 specifically? or, some theoretical arpg that should exist?
Hm, I think the gear "identity" you describe is present, just much more broad. Like all Chest pieces are going to have mostly Defensive stats, while Gloves will have Offensive.No.
I think that items should have an identity, even rares.
Every single Spiked Sheild in Diablo 2 had thorns, most Staves had +Sorc abilities. Every single Ruby Ring in Path of Exile has Fire Resist, every single Two Handed Club has increased stun. I'm in the right genre thanks.
I haven't noticed that in D4. I guess boots have different permanent mods like getting an extra use of roll, but I couldn't tell you that it's the cloth ones or the Scosglen ones with the mod, they all look the same.
This is a ripe area for innovation and they went backwards and deleted what D2 had, they removed depth.
