This dev teams incompetence level continues to rise no matter how much good things they actually do get done.
To be fair, that 'bug' is the best part of the whole season. Normal helltide puts you to sleep after about 5 minutes.

Apparently they did something to completely break rogues in the patch though, so I guess you're still not wrong. Hopefully it doesn't affect leveling builds because I'm getting close to the point where I want some crit dmg tempers on my barb's gear but I haven't started the rogue yet.

It's not just the helltide bug, they bricked rapid fire build. Reintroduced old bugs again and also didnt fix boulder.

Patch hit, thought for sure that this line would also mean the helltide cheese was dead, but nope. Still working same as before.
  • Fixed an issue where Threat progress could become permanently locked if the player exited Helltide while Threat was near zero
Wasn't this the bug? Does it just mean they still didn't fix it (even though they claim they did)?

Oh wait it looks like they're just perma threat now? You don't even have to do the logout trick. Fucking lol. This is how helltides should be default though.

Yep should literally mean HELLtide. Hopefully they stick with that design direction.

My idea works best!

WT2 = No threat.
WT3= Use that braincage if want higher Helltides.
WT4= Always highest threat. Can't turn it off.

Started the double strike dust devil build. Really fun to play and its still not 100% online.

Just need to find the leap aspect somehow so I can leap more often.

I found leap totally underwhelming even with multiple aspects, used charge instead. There's a unique that gives you 50 rage on unstoppable, so that and one of the shouts gives you 2 sources.

I had that whole setup, I just never stood still and Leap aim doesn't work on console.

Charge doesn't need aspects, grants unstoppable and option for 50 rage from the unique (Tibaults Pants I think?).

Ended up with 3 shouts, the frenzy ultimate, dual swing and charge. My setup was mostly self sustaining on rage but having two buttons to refill really made it work.

Just switch to Bash as soon as you unlock the cleave temper and never look back. Especially if you're on console or want to use a gamepad on PC.

What's the best/fastest rogue leveling skill/build? I need that stupid crit damage temper. Will have a Harlequin Crest to use, probably won't have Tyrael's Might. Doubt ubers will make much difference anyway, since you just need to get to ~55, do the capstone for WT4, and then go sit at a maiden spawn to pick up the legendary tempers while other people kill shit for you.

Might change to charge myself. Ran some Nightmare Dungeons yesterday and had a bit of rage issues but its probably due to bad gear. So will just push through untill I get gear I will keep for more than 1 level.

anyway, saw this on reddit, necro mage build. i have never been a fan of golem's ai and seeing it fuck off to attack random add that dies before it gets to it kills me.

It's not 1 billion damage golem hits, but my Mage build gets up to about 750M DPS during AotD bursts in boss fights. Mage damage is there, so long as you're okay with seeing smaller numbers that are jumbled with 30 other small numbers instead of the one big number.

Build here (using my actual gear stats for Pit T100 farming): D4planner Diablo 4 Character D4Planner - Diablo 4 maxroll.gg

What really makes it sing is a good roll on Chance for Mage Projectiles to cast twice. My 2H scythe is about 80% after two Masterwork crits, and with 100% attack speed bonus and 6 mages, enemies get about 21 bolts/second. If AotD can be timed when both Blighted and Flesh Eater are up (which is how Golem builds are able to get >1 billion damage hits), instead, my mages do about 35 million damage per hit and all 6 Mages fire about 3.5 bolts/second, with Reapers chipping in a bit. Pit T100 boss fights last about a 45 sec; the shadow of Uber Lilith might get one attack off, and Blood Mist keeps me out of trouble.

It could probably push past Pit T110 pretty comfortably, but honestly I just have more fun around 95-100. (No Holy Bolts ever; this is an ethical Necromancer build.)

You definitely do still need to logout to freeze the meter. The bug is exactly the same as before the patch.

That's just being retarded for no reason at this point. If Blizzard wanted it changed they'd have done something to holy bolt in the patch. I wouldn't go as far to say that it's working as intended (for necros anyway, imo it's doing exactly what it was designed to do for everyone else), but they obviously don't care about it since it's just a seasonal item that's going away. Enjoy it while it lasts, if for no other reason than because it makes the utter shit design of tormented boss fights a little more bearable.

Also, mage damage was always there. The builds are basically identical in strength if you have proper gear. If anything, mage build is better if you aren't trying to push the absolute highest pits you can, or in my case only using necro to kill the bosses I can't be bothered slogging through with my other characters.
