Since I didn't Werenado very far into 100, I was just going on Maxroll rating Wind Sheer less tanky and that Goblin Inc streamer comments that it's not a close range build, but I guess he could just mean that because he put "damage to distant" on all his tempers. At level 55 Pit, I was starting to need to run away to funnel mobs, and not just face tank everything, with Wind Sheer. So kinda made sense.
IIRC the maxroll build isn't the completely optimized version that aceofspades made to top the Pit ranks. This is what I based my druid off of:
Sadly, they discovered some new bugged interaction between Landslide and Lightning Storm which looks like it's going to become the best once he gets the gear rolled for it. Pretty much done with druid anyway though. Compared to my other two characters it just feels weak and it's clunky to play with only having Godslayer Helm to pull enemies together. 12 second cooldown plus the requirement of a lucky hit followed by a second successful freeze/stun/immob roll feels bad.
How do these type of games play on consoles? I have always ran them on my PC but this might be a little much for my 7 yr old potato. Looks like I'm going to be stuck at home most of the week and can't find anything fun to play on Gamepass, thought this might be worth a couple dozen hours if it plays ok with a controller.
It's mostly great with the controller, just a few annoyances that make me pick up the mouse to do instead. Looting can suck at times. There's no way to 'scroll' through the shit on the ground, and no loot filter to hide the garbage in the first place. All it does is prioritize by rarity, which is fine most of the time, but when there's one of the seasonal potions or a profane mindcage on the ground and you want to pick it up, good luck getting it without picking up all the yellow gear on the ground near it first. Same goes for trying to pick up boss summoning mats, since for some reason they are lower priority than yellow gear.
Second problem is mobility skills and targeting in general. You can pretty much forget about using stuff like Leap as it almost never targets what you want to leap onto. Charge works better, but still goes the wrong way sometimes. Definitely glad I switched my Barb to bash instead of dust devils, since bash build only uses shouts and no leap/charge. It's not just those skills either, for example using my golem's activation ability is supposed to make him annihilate a pack of mobs I grouped up, but occasionally I'll use it and the idiot will run the other way and waste it on a single mob in the corner. (Possible that's just shitty pet AI and not strictly a controller issue though.)
And finally, everything in the UI will take longer to do. Inventory management, selling, crafting... all of it can be done much faster with the mouse.
Bottom line is it's great for general gameplay, but it would really annoy me not to have the option to pick up the mouse (game switches input instantly) and do what I need to do quickly with it instead. Main reason I haven't bothered installing the game on my Series X too.
