I have no idea why anyone would expect the servers to work on launch day, even for a 20 year old game. Has any company ever managed that?

PoE league launches have been smooth recently.




So long as they don't forget to migrate characters from the previous league. And don't push untested database pagination changes 24 hours before the league start. For the same league.
