Will they use letter based acronyms to label each of these channels? Things like ABC or NBC, maybe CBS. Eventually there could be dozens of channels with things like the shopping network. religious channels or government watch channels. It would be amazing.....

HBO Max raising prices and lowering service. Have to pay more if you want the yearly price with 4k and stuff you are already getting.

People stay subscribed to these channels? I usually sub for a month then sub to a different channel the next month. Not like they are releasing enough content on one channel to keep your attention any longer than that. After 5 or 6 months you're back on the original service and there might be 2 or 3 new shows worth watching.

That works unless you have kids around that like watching the same thing over and over and over and over. And over. Again.

yeah my wifes corporate mobile plan (verizon) gives free disney+ but its mostly for our daughters who have their own kids now to rewatch Frozen and Cars every single goddamn day, but Disney is breaking family sharing sometime in June so it'll be interesting to see what happens then

disney+ is getting a new Tales of the Jedi animated show tomorrow but Bad Batch was pretty meh

I've been doing this for a little over a year now, and it's been working well for me. I'm saving a lot of money this way. Sure it means I don't watch stuff on day 1 anymore which can be annoying at times but it's simply not worth the money.

I'd rather be able to binge than watch when they do those weekly releases. Shogun was getting on my nerves with that crap. But that's one I had to subscribe for.

If there's a good show it's obviously going to skew my choices. I'll get Max back when house of the dragon starts for instance.

It won’t matter if they continue to focus on diversity over skill in their hiring practice, or if they continue to push woke stuff instead of focusing on quality.

It’s not the number of movies or tv shows that’s the problem, it’s pushing social agenda over quality.

I don't believe any of Disney's bullshit numbers. They can claim profitability by not including all their expenditures. This already happened when they claimed Lucasfilm was profitable, Forbes looked into and discovered Disney isn't reporting all their costs and are still to this day billions of dollars in the red.

Looks like Inside Out 2 is turning out to be a monster hit. Somewhere around a $150 million weekend. Yeah, I know this thread is for Disney streaming, but this didn't need its own thread. Second best animated opening of all time, most likely. They were really needing a hit, too.

Inside/out was a really good movie. It's aimed at little girls, but a giant asshole like me loved it too. Probably the last classic Pixar movie they ever made. I hope the sequel is a good movie, it's kind of hard to make it woke as the original was already female centric to begin with. They massacred the Incredibles sequel by making Mr Incredible a side character in his own movie.
