It wasn't the same person, that's for sure. At least it didn't sound like it to me, but still very impressive. This is my favorite version of it:So stupid question: how DO they do the 25 languages localization like that? Because to my untrained ear that sounds exactly the like the original english voice actresses' voice on all of them but that would be ridiculous/impossible so that can't be right, right?

Going back a few months here for this quote, but what you mention is even more interesting after reading this entry in the wiki:By far the best sequence in the film and kudos to Disney for making a movie where the 'villain' isn't the bad guy. This scene is the lynchpin for the whole film, if it hadn't sold the concept of Elsa and who / what she is then the entire thing would have been a disaster. Also its a damn uplifting song and Idina Menzel is channeling every ounce of her Elpheba performance from Wicked into it.
Either that or they figured might as well do SOMETHING different instead of just remaking Wicked, entirely.Going back a few months here for this quote, but what you mention is even more interesting after reading this entry in the wiki:
Although unintentional, the song's composition was pivotal in the film's characterization of Elsa.[7] Although Elsa was originally written as a villain, co-directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee gradually rewrote Elsa into one of the film's protagonists after "Let It Go" was composed.
Basically, you could say that song single handily saved the movie and made it a success.
Frozen seriously makes the most sense as a response to Wicked. Its like a mirror of it. Choosing freedom over love.So if you care to find me
Look to the western sky!
As someone told me lately:
"Ev'ryone deserves the chance to fly!"
And if I'm flying solo
At least I'm flying free
To those who'd ground me
Take a message back from me
Tell them how I am
Defying gravity
fuck that's amazing. i gotta see this movie today...
That is some pretty impressive localization...
I hate agreeing with you but i felt the same. 20 minutes in it was driving me to drinkyou think thats crazy? imagine 25 different animations for all the dialogue.
btw i saw this during the week. i had mixed feelings. simply amazing CG animation. the scenes with the snow monster and the freezing effects are masterpieces. the snowman olaf was my favorite character. the 2 butthurt chicks singing the whole movie had me close to skipping the rest several times. i liked tangled better in regards to their singing. overall a must see for the animation and for olaf.
yeah fuck. this is what's keeping me from seeing it. judging by what i've seen in the trailer and other sources (korean version in that song was basically i don't give a shit about others and i wanna do what I want), i knew it would be some bitches singing about how shitty their lives are and how free they wanna be. the fuck.you think thats crazy? imagine 25 different animations for all the dialogue.

First half was way to much singing, sadly after the popularity of this crap there is going to be a shit ton more of animated movies singingYou people are on drugs, Frozen was awesome. Although I have to agree with Astr0 about the troll song.
Excellent movie, and yes I thought the singing was overmuch but that's essentially 90% of Disney movies before Pixar became King of the Hill. Frozen and Tangled were actually more along the lines of classic Disney animation films. I don't see it becoming a thing really.First half was way to much singing, sadly after the popularity of this crap there is going to be a shit ton more of animated movies singing
