EG hasn't looked great until now. Weather that is then improving, other teams starting to dismiss them, comfort, I dunno.

I haven't watched most of their games in the major, will reserve judgement until they have a few large lan s with this roster.

I haven't been super impressed with Ember this patch. It seems like unless he just gets a ridiculous amount of farm early game, he's just never able to catch up.

I don't feel like going back to look at the games for the Major, but it really seems like Ember has been a losing pick most of the time.

59% win rate at Frankfurt, virtually the same as Shadowfiend and Slardar and up near the top among the frequently picked heroes.

I dont know a lot about dota but is there a way of stopping Anti Mage, on the late game? So far if AM gets to late, its just GG.

Same as most carries, just have to account for blink.

Hex + smash. Orchids, hex, silence, stuns, etc.

I think the thing that makes it so hard to counter I'd the mobility / split. I've seen a few times recently where one initiates, and you keep the rest of the team in blink radius, and AM blinks into hero's waiting for the fucking.

Like most carries, if he if ahead over the other nine hero's by 10k, and his team is even our ahead, it's difficult.

Easier to punish the pick. Get wards in jungle, early orchids and hank him. Or 5 man his team into the ground before he is online.

I'll probably jinx them, but OG look on a damn mission. Yeah they're in losers but that doesn't mean much. They're very scary to me.

I honestly didn't expect them to beat CDEC, but damn. East got murdered this Major and VG has never won a series vs Secret/EG...

OG just has an incredible team that after only 2.5 months or less are playing together like they've been doing it for much longer. It reminds me of the old Secret, which reminds me of the new Secret, just without all the flashy names. Cr1t and Miracle were always very good, N0tail is great, and Moon was always consistent on CoL. If they can keep it together and grow I can easily seem them becoming a favorite heading in to next year's TI or even the next Major depending on the outcome of this and the other in-between tournaments.

Now if we could just get Alliance working!

I would be so happy to see A back to a top 4 team... they seem almost there? (yeah this is probably hoping way too much)

As to og I haven't been able to watch much of the major and I trust rerolled judgement over reddits. are they out playing people or is their style just confusing people because some of their drafts are pretty creative.

One other question bc someone posted as if it'd be a dumb move. Why wouldn't you want to tri lane against a dark seer? He's really level dependent and isn't he easier to zone out over some of the other off laners?

I thought it might be a reasonable matchup, odd drafts and they also like to fight. I expected OG to play panda tbh.

I'm not really sure that OG has what it takes to beat Vici though, I feel like VG will be less thrown off by their picks and should be able to play around them. (I assume ehome won't beat VG.)

He can just go jungle if you trilane, and come back whenever the supports leave. He's also not easy to kill unless you have at least 2 stuns(or like disruptor for glimpse or something), since he can't be slowed during surge and has fairly decent base health/armor. If your goal is to sacrifice the rest of the lanes to make sure your carry farm it can work, but you're probably losing all the lanes if you trilane a darkseer. I mean you might feel like you win the trilane, but if dark seer gets levels from jungling/leeching xp when you push into the tower and you don't get any kills, you haven't really won that lane. Meanwhile the rest of your team is doing 2vs4. Realistically, you can get the same farm on your carry most of the time by just letting him 1vs1 the darkseer. Darkseer might be getting more that way, but you also stand a much better chance in the other lanes.

There's also the jungle nerf shit that nerfs trilane in general. Supports in trilanes suffer a lot more now if you don't get kills. It isn't like the old days where having a trilane meant both your supports were actually getting good levels and farm while chain pulling, if you trilane, everyone's underlvled as shit.

VG stomped. A lot of chatter on Reddit, and I have to agree with this line of thinking, EHOME is the only Chinese team to incorporate a real combo of young blood + veteran (Lanm) and it is really working out, versus teams that rely way too much on the old Dota 1 Pro holdovers. CDEC itself is pretty young, but OG exploited the old Chinese weakness (except possibly VG) of pick heroes out of the meta, and the Chinese just cannot compute and fold. Yay Meepo.

My pal and I were talking about how jungle ing usually doesn't work out in this patch. Was there a nerf?

Fuck alliance.

Big game this morning, finally going to get a litmus test for evil genius

Hah, Synderen pooping on that old dude. you must be really new to Dota to not understand how crazy good that nether ward was during the game. I will never understand that they do not invite Winter to these tournaments. That guy is awsome and way more interesting than old dude and purge.
