Watching blitz/merlini/purge/cap/maelk stream their run in the qualifiers is interesting. Didn't catch the Kaipi games but it seems the combo of Sing, Bone7, CWM, Bamboe + random romanian is mostly crushing, wonder if mad is out.

^ lol...I'm so glad I'm not a college student today. Back when I went, all you had to worry about was the occasional crazy trying to say the bible is the only book you need and education is the road to hell.
MVP has quietly gone from top 8 nobodies to scariest team in the world. How the gold changes favor fighting over farming, favor their super aggressive playstyle.
I don't think Secret will do too well on this patch. Envy is great at aggressively farming - not fighting.
On the contrary, I think Secret will do great since diving is much easier to punish with cheaper TPs and armor aura on towers. EE will do whatever it takes to win, he will adapt if it's necessary. I mean EG pretty much riced their way to top 3 finish. The meta is pretty wild right now, so it's obvious aggression is the king, but give it a month and you will have a much better picture of what the patch is about. Sadly, I think the one thing that would cripple most of the early game aggression was kept more or less intact - Satyr hadouken.
Aggression & pushing is often popular early in the patch since people haven't really honed in on whats ideal. MVP Phoenix got shat on 2-weeks ago by OG & VGR and fnatic at ESL One Qualifiers.
The thing about Secret is that they (and old Cloud 9) were often better at moving around and getting more than the opposing team. Were I betting man, I wouldn't be wagering anything for quite some time. There is too much flux and games by Secret/EG are too infrequently to really predict the future.
Its interesting how many players were buying the +20 move speed item casually.
This Veggies vs. Nova game is pretty funny. Just dumb amounts of gold, 80m long, and hearing the team audio is great. I think each Veggie player is streaming it also.
95m game, 1500 last hit ember, 1065 gpm... That was just dumb
It was mostly the other team dicking around and not wanting to finish though, at least that's what it felt like, but I really hoped they would lose - making your support buy wards 80 minutes in when your carry is swimming in gold is criminal. Veggies had no counter initiation.
I don't know wtf is going on in these qualifiers but it is hilarious, and ridiculous, and stupid, and fun as shit. 90+ minute games all over the place, megas, rapiers, buybacks, die backs. It is bedlam!
