So, people mentioned playing together, but Dota is like the worst game to casually plan to 5 stack. Games are long, people shouldn't be sitting at their pc not queueing maybe waiting for a 4th/5th. The old guild was nicer than the chat channels for organization. In the spirit of people saying they want to play together, lets get some dates/times together that work for people. In house games are not generally fun and impossible to balance, but as many 5 man parties as we can create or just rotate one on a friday/sat night or something might be worth doing if people are into it.

For west coast USA people, we can probably start by 8EST if it extends into Europe. US East is probably the server that will have to be used so I hope people are ok with 100~ ping.

Anyways, lets get some names, times, and opinions on what days of the week, if we want to make a general guideline, or actually plan specific dates. And if no one gives a fuck, ok too!

There's also the issue of MMR difference. Not sure someone 4k is going to want to play with someone 1k.

That was more or less my problem - having to wait until late in the night/early morning to see somebody 1k or more below me (I'm 4200) fuck around and Rethan trying to make sense of the mess wasn't that much fun, altough the victories were pretty sweet

To play with friends, people just have to be ok with the MMR difference. If the difference is a problem people can express that, or just opt out. If its not fun for someone they shouldn't join, be they 4k or 1k.

Honestly, that is one of the weirdest and best lineups they could hope for. I'm going to follow Puppey to the gates of hell as a fan, and avoiding most of the western big names could very well pay off, since none of them performed when it counted. The only thing it is missing is a rising pubstar as a core.

dead Alliance would be really weird, since they have been a staple for the last three years. That's like the only thing that could kill Bulldog's career, but I always assumed the team was popular enough to warrant sponsoring and well, they had a whole nation behind them. If they really go belly up, I expect to another swede stack to replace them shortly.

Holy shit, it looks like GGA (the parent company of both EG and Alliance) has broken up, thus killing both teams. EG's Halo team went under, Alliance's manager (Loda's g/f) is out. Fear/Zai at least are out of EG. WHAT IS THIS INSANITY?

GGA leaving esports is fucking retarded, they were the most profitable brand, but I guess it's not enough for the bean counters at Amazon ? The thing is, if they all leave, they would have no problem getting sponsored by literally anybody else. Maybe Alex Garfield is putting together a new brand ?

Rumor is that Bulldog, S4 and Jerax, along with Notail and Fly are in the new OG.

Well with the rumor from V&lat that Bulldog and S4 would be on OG, I think it'd work out fine.

Also on Secret I think it's good that they went international, and it's also good for the MvP guys. Realistically, as much as I would have liked to see a korean team win something important, korean dota is kinda dead so it's a lot better for them to split into other teams in other countries, move there and just get much better training conditions. Considering the shit situation they were in, they really did a great performance at TI and some previous majors. After that the main issue becomes communication, one estonian, one swede, one malaysian and 2 koreans, that's a lot of different cultures and not too sure how well the SEA guys speak english too, so yeah. At least they can register for SEA qualifiers for easy spots!

Because of the linked modern history, most South Koreans speak English, I have seen interviews with almost everyone on MVP and the all speak it extremely well. Fnatic was also forced to speak in English cause of DJ (who is Phillipino and doesn't speak Chinese), so I am sure he will get along fine as well.

Well, GGA as a brand is being dissolved, that's all there is to it, the teams ain't going anywhere, although I can't see Alliance being relevant without s4 and/or Bulldog
