Well Valve not announcing much of anything until right before it starts doesn't help, and it's still not the main event stuff. And it's a major, not all majors have been very hype in the past, and this one follows The Summit which is easily one of the best tournament since it has most of the best teams, lots of games and pro players commentary/insight which is hard to top.

Agreed. Group C, EG got the lay-up. Group B, all are strong. Group A, Wings and DC got stuck together. Group D, similar to B where all the teams are fairly evenly matched.

I'd like to see faceless make a deep run tho i doubt it now. OG, EG always fun to watch them fight it out.

I dunno, if you were watching the Liquid games Miracle got a couple kills, died a few times after buying the shadowblade, and wasted a lot of time wandering around. The only reason he got back in it was the team fights.

The number of picks seems overstated to me, most of the heroes were picked only a handful of times and many had little success. Much like every other patch its the same handful of heroes 95% of the time and unlike previous patches there seems to be only one playstyle.

Theeban looks ridiculous....

I briefly considered going when I noticed there were tickets last week.

Pointless group stage is pointless. There is every chance in the world of finishing top of your group then getting upset in the first round.

You kind of need it, since seeding a single elim tournament like this would be a pain in the ass, but I agree this tournament hasn't been very exciting so far.

Like, I understand they need to seed it through a Group Stage, all good. But watch LFY knock out EG or some other horseshit. Single Elim is garbage.

Edit: The only positive I suppose, is no one gets eliminated on a Bo1.

so far this IG.V vs OG is pretty good i like seeing great mids get owned.

b/c i suck at invoker and cant play him for shit really enjoy watching invoker get his shit pushed in even tho i do like ana as a player.

Complexity is really out fighting EG in games 2 & 3.

I miss the TI4-style round robin group stage where everyone played everyone else. Though that probably wouldn't work well for a shorter event like a major.

I wonder if EG's issue was their support choices. It felt 3v5 for the most part, plus 3 melee cores ...

holy shit that Complexity v EG was badass G3 was just fucking awesome. That OD was nuts and arrow was on point.
