there is no evidence they were roofied as they never reported any crime at the time so they dunno what they may or may not have ingested. Many of these women are accusing him of using roofies. That would be covered by any definition of rape. These aren't accusations like Lena Dunham's. If what the women said is true, Cosby is a serial rapist by any definition.
I believe the definition of rape is "sex without consent". You're right in that "without consent" used to be accepted as meaning "by use of physical force", but that hasn't exclusively been the case for a while now. Just being drunk when someone has sex with you does not count as rape, not even today (at least legally, I'm not getting into what rules colleges enforce). Now, if someone has consumed enough alcohol to be severely cognitively impaired, then even if they agree to have sex ("actual" consent) it doesn't count as "legal" consent and that can still count as rape. So yeah, sometimes "Yes" means "No". It's not arbitrary, it's not a free pass to use rape accusations after "buyer's remorse", it's not a matter of taking a victim at their word and it's not about allowing people to avoid taking responsibility for their decisions. That type of rape (like all rape cases) still requires sufficient evidence before someone can be found guilty. Here's alegal guideon how to prosecute such cases, in case you're curious. They(courts, feminist mainly) literally did changethe definition of rape. Rape used to be when you used physical (you fists or your lroofie of choice) force to make a woman have sex with you. Now rape is if your drunk or where"pressured" into sex.
Tldr rape is being confused with regret.
Jesus fucking christ no. A thousand times no. I hope to hell you never get called for jury duty.if 13 women testified under oath, and gave credibile testemony under cross examination, one would think that it could create a situation where reasonable doubt is removed and a conviction could be possible.
Lol "im not getting into what rules colleges enforce".I believe the definition of rape is "sex without consent". TLDR: "Regret" has nothing to do with it. It's about consent.
Maybe the women have no visible motive, but you gotta admit there are connected people that the coz pisses off with his personal responsibility message. Whether anything else comes out of this, it sure does mute that message. I'm not saying that's what's going on, but you were searching for a motive to lie, and there's one right there.I admit I do have quite a bit of trouble thinking of this guy as a rapist. However, for some of the women doing the accusing, it strikes me that they have very little motive to come out and say this now.
Wat.Maybe the women have no visible motive, but you gotta admit there are connected people that the coz pisses off with his personal responsibility message. Whether anything else comes out of this, it sure does mute that message.
That's the problem if you're in your early 20s (ie poor) and not a nerd, if there's no sports game on TV, all you have to pass the time is getting drunk and sex.Lol "im not getting into what rules colleges enforce".
What about the Military?
James Taranto: A Strange Sort of Justice at West Point - WSJ
Standard Rerolled response: "Hurrr Durr you're from the UK, <insert random news story to assert moral superiority> e.g How's it feel living under sharia law Hurr Durr britfag"Ossoi probably still doesn't understand what racism is. How do you feel about the child rapists that flew under the radar over there due to being PC? Is that the end-game?.
yeah no shit? did you miss my comments on the first page about UK historical sex offences committed by TV personalities? Did you miss my wikipedia links detailing the crimes of Jimmy Savile?Isn't Ossoi from the UK? No Brit has the slightest bit of ground to stand on when it comes to accusing others of covering up rape.
who redefined what rape is? it wasn't rerolled
The thing is the definition of rape has changed over the years. I'm not commenting on the validity of what constitute rape or not here, but today if you have girl over and you have few drinks and end up having sex, if she didn't explicitly say "yes I want to have sex with you" and regrets it the next day...you're a rapist. 10-30 years ago, that was just normal, back then rape involved the women explicitly saying no, and kinda physically pushing you away.
And everything Astro said, but I really can't be bothered to click "view his posts" (he's on ignore) in order to quote.Well this new wave of feminism has done a fine job of making me not give a shit about rape.
Everything is rape nowadays,
Yeah Savile was a paedophile, and stories continue that he was a necrophiliac too, which is why he did so much charity work for hospitals. Not reading up on them, but based on what you said, I will assume they were both kiddy diddlers. Unless I missed something, that's a far cry from what The Coz is accused of. I think it's fair to say there's a different set of expectations for kids coming forward to report stuff and grown ass adults coming forward.
Have I said I think he's guilty? I have just pointed out the similarities between these accusations and a number of recent UK cases. This is an odd notion of mob justice that you seem to have Ossoi. There is literally no way that you, you personally within your own mind, can be refuted in your opinion that this man did what he's accused of. The accusation is enough. That's fucked up.
If he was being accused of anything besides a sex crime this standard would not apply. Substitute "physical assault" with "rape" and see how that opinion changes. And it will change.
Could it have happened? Maybe. His name is Bill Cosby, not Jesus Horatio Christ. You know what else could have happened? Absolutely nothing.
