Well yeah if you wanted to. There's some good challenges in there though. First time I played through as a kid, I was so under prepared for the 1v1 with wiegraf that there was literally no way to win and I had to start the game over.

Its okay. I found the game systems to be pretty loosey goosey and the story to be somewhat mediocre, but especially at a deep discount sale price, its completely worth a play through.

It definitely didn't match the hype, but I enjoyed it. Not sure if I would've found it enjoyable if I played more action and less stealth though.
The biggest problem (imo) was that you got so many OP tools that the game wasn't very challenging/engaging after a certain point.

Both of you guys are retarded. FFTA and FFTA2, regardless of comparisons to the first FFT, are fantastic games. I spent at least 50 hours on the first game and over 200 hours on the second.
I actually didn't. My friend beat FFT before I did and then let me play it. He warned me how rape all the named characters are and advised me to probably just not use them unless forced to do so. So my playthrough I didn't use the named people but it was still quite trivial. Ramza eventually can just solo maps once you get Blade Grasp and Shout enough times.

I never said FFT was bad just over rated. People hail it as this masterpiece SRPG when it isn't even remotely on the level of Disgaea or Tactics Ogre.

The challenge comes from the achievements, like doing a never detected play through, doing a no-killing play through, or doing a play through where you only use Blink.

That sounds so ridiculously difficult.
The game also has the BioShock problem where it's hella easy to get the "bad" ending because you killed a couple dudes. I beat a couple missions using stealth tactics but the world was already fucked from killing some dudes on previous missions. That's when I just said fuck it and started blink-slashing everybody.
I enjoyed the first for what it was. I hope they can make the second one a little deeper and more open without the trivialization.

Dishonored was basically Thief for the new generation, you had to challenge yourself a bit and if things went wrong, you could always just murder your way through. It had really cool world that they only alluded to. If you ever pick it up, make sure to get the Brigmore Witches DLC, it expands on the original game a bit and has some interesting opponents/environment.

If you kill people but hide the bodies, you generate significantly less Chaos, so it's easier to get the good ending. Or just, you know, don't kill people. (Running is always an option.)
