yea i found this newly devised elden ring jump technology vital to margit. when he slams hammer down you can just be in the air when it hits and take no damage. and jump-heavy-attack is unparalleled in terms of new ways to fuck a dude up.One thing I learned from good souls streamer is to avoid only rolling back or to a side. Roll frontal over the attack instead! The souls game are not counting a hit when something passes you midair. Advantage: you are in front of the mob and get a window of opportunity instead having rolled away.
Also ER allows you to jump(!) over many attacks and some spells. And yes, parry is very underrated but needs practice.
Yeah this one you should learn pretty quick. Rolling back is often not far enough or it will land you right in the path of a follow up attack. While rolling into one will not.One thing I learned from good souls streamer is to avoid only rolling back or to a side. Roll frontal over the attack instead! You do this and avoid the sweep only to get pounded by the thing when he mashes his sword pommel against the ground like 5 times.Sticking to a giant mob's ankle is a tried and true Souls strategy. My problem is having to memorize where he is going to swing his sword or breath on me based on how he wiggles his toe. It's kind of obnoxious. I wish there was a way to zoom out further, but that's elden ring, baby.
I audibly count the times (I think it's 6??? I think they might change it up tho....) when they do that. I love this game. You do this and avoid the sweep only to get pounded by the thing when he mashes his sword pommel against the ground like 5 times.
I work from home and it's taking immense will power to stay focused and actually work...
I'd kill for them to have color coded backgrounds or some shit. lot of talismans look like boss souls or elixer items.I do that with talismans a lot...
I get a drop that sounds interesting. The fuck is that? Proceed to not find it for 10 minutes only to realize it was a talisman.

What is that icon with the red X? That's the one I've been getting and I'm not sure what it is.

And here's my HP a day later after focusing entirely on it with all the exp I got today / had stored. That's only 25ish levels, too. Hopefully now I stop getting one-shotted...
A huge QOL improvement would be having a list of your entire inventory you could sort by 'most recent'. Ah well. From isn't known for their QOL, I guess.I do that with talismans a lot...

Luckily PC means we will have some truly batshit mods coming out for this game.A huge QOL improvement would be having a list of your entire inventory you could sort by 'most recent'. Ah well. From isn't known for their QOL, I guess.
I swapped to PS5, but since I bought it on GMG for Steam, I couldn't return it, so now i have it on both...Luckily PC means we will have some truly batshit mods coming out for this game.
