Anyone ever figure out what the shit is up with the ghost/summoned dragonskin soliders in the snow field? They show up fucking constantly and I've genocided this entire map multiple times now and never found any indication of what is summoning them or why.

Didn't get to play over a week, but got some really good game time this weekend in.
Ended tonight after killing the Valiant Gargoyle, which btw fuck their cunty poison breath. Most annoying thing I've dealt with so far in the game and only thing that even made this fight kinda difficult.
Up to 83 bosses killed now (Count does not include NPC invaders, mini-bosses etc. Just stuff with boss bar.)

I feel like I'm not getting gud quickly enough and I'm cheesing every boss with Mimic/summon distraction and magic/moonveil ranged attack.
Any good melee builds with block/stagger mechanics? I want to be Guts from Berzerk. People seem to be saying it's not viable in the mountain zone which is where I am.

That was on a ledge right above the Radahn arena, pain in the ass location to get down to? It's a location from on of those painting you find, probably saw some gold ghost sitting in gold ghost chair doing the movie director thing?
He disappears and leaves an item. Think the giant is there just for FromSoft lulz. (my guess)

best thing to find endgame builds is to search for the weapon / weapontypes you want + a tough boss in that area. Ex:
I'm not a huge fan of colossal weapon builds in ER. Too much reliance on jump attacks and buffs. Ruins the flow of combat for me.
also there's a Dragonslayer mod.
Gut's Dragonslayer (Berserk)

best thing to find endgame builds is to search for the weapon / weapontypes you want + a tough boss in that area. Ex:
I'm not a huge fan of colossal weapon builds in ER. Too much reliance on jump attacks and buffs. Ruins the flow of combat for me.

That’s badass but I feel like the sword needs to be so long it clips into the ground a foot or two when it’s on your back to make it more like Guts sword.

I have that staff at +25. It does significantly less damage than +10 Lusat's even with death sorcery. I'm doing a death sorcery run through NG+ right now and was pretty disappointed with just how poorly it performs vs Lusats, since it only has A tier INT and Faith Scaling. Even at 80 INT/50 FAI Lusat's beats it, so I'm guessing it doesn't actually scales sorcery with both INT and FAI, it just uses whichever is higher and scales on that.

I was gonna upgrade that one next. Good info my dude. Curious if the same is true for frenzied burst with the frenzied seal, and extra int/Wis beyond the minimum required to cast is a waste (only take one higher)? I'm at like 65int/57fth with greater rune up.
