Like others have mentioned, since I stepped away from this I'm finding myself completely uninterested in playing anything else. GT7, meh (it's actually pretty good but don't care), Lost Ark, bleh (I like it but can't bring myself to log in), H:FW, pffft (looks beautiful but no hook in me).

So, I'll probably buy on PC this week and double dip/start over. This time, actually seeing the major "quests" to completion and playing a completely different way. From has basically ruined video gaming for me as a hobby

The Great shield soldiers are also pretty hilarious, shield wall and throw ghost flame pots. I have seen them push bosses into a corner and just slam him to death.

I put ER down until DLC, played a few hours of EQ then immediately started a new character in ER.

The mods on PC really improve the game if you aren't looking for online play.

Everyone brags about some of these OP summons, but its funny just how many of the other ones have their own uses. I'm a die hard fan of the Skeletal Militiamen. They act just like regular skeletons and get back up again after their slain, as long as you aggro the boss away from them when they're down so it can't finish them off.

I knew it was a mistake to try and play Forbidden West after this game. I haven't turned that game on for 3 days but I keep thinking about this game instead.

You need to get him lower before he heals.

He doesn't move into P2 right away and does that countdown thing, so you need to drop him during that.

I was starting P2 with him at about 40% or lower even.

I finally stepped into NG+ to check it out but I'm a bit disappointed that you retain your map. Was hoping for some of that early game mystery + curb stomping early bosses but I'm all out of mystery over here.

Just got to Volcano Manor and im starting to see the George RR Marin influence in the story. The game has tons of different factions with different goals, different religions, and none are clearly a good guy or bad guy aside from maybe the Frenzy Flame being chaotic evil. It makes me think Song of Fire and Ice would have worked well as a video game. Here are all these fractions fighting, pick one and they win. Seems like the only way to wrap up that story line for those books.

This happens to me with any good game that makes an impression on me, after beating it. I'm still playing through ER, but I know I'll be in a deep video game depression once I'm done.

Gun to my head, I couldn’t tell you which bits are Martin and which are Miyazaki. They’re both great world builders but everything in the story is already the same type of shit Miyazaki has been coming up with for over a decade. I just assumed they gave Martin a giant check to put his name on the box.

I want to have a little bit of magic, but sword/shield is a beginner-friendly way to play as well, so this is what I researched and came up with for my starting class. Basically a Confessor -> Paladin.

Yeah I would guess that they just bought the name and maybe got a couple of tidbits from him, he didn't mention Elden Ring in his "I'm too busy to write Winds of Winter" blog.

I wonder who the Silmarillion nerd was who wrote in the giant glowing tree? Really gives the game a crazy otherworldy feel seeing that thing everywhere.
