Surprised so many people are confused on why someone might think more content is a good thing.

None of the replies to you seem confused. People seem to be fine with the route they took of 30 hour main story but dozens of hours of extra content. More content is always good, I prefer its optional as it’s less likely to seem like a dragging story and more sandbox like.Surprised so many people are confused on why someone might think more content is a good thing.
Can't solidarity this hard enough. I LOVE the Pathfinder games, but around the 30-40 hour mark I'm ready for it to be over. It really shouldn't take 80 hours to tell a good story, especially in the age of voice acting and cinematics.
I just realized we are leaving for vacation on Feb 24th. And not the fun vacation like my wife and I, but a vacation with the kids.

Worst part about introducing people to the series. I just dont even do it anymore and let them find the game on their own.
I went through the catacombs my first time. When I introduce people to DS1 I make sure to tell them the intended path is through the catacombs
Simple answer but this is precisely why ppl want Elder ring to be 100+ hours.I think because if the game is as good as everyone is hoping, they want it to last forever.
I think people THINK they want this. But it's precisely because the game didn't overstay its welcome that it was such a good experience. You keep stretching that out, hour after hour, and it starts losing its luster. I much prefer FromSoftware start working on the next Bloodborne, or Sekiro, Dark Souls, Elden Ring 2, etc., personally.I think because if the game is as good as everyone is hoping, they want it to last forever.

Like the cliche goes, show me the hottest woman in the world and I'll show you the guy tired of her shit. There is such a thing as "too much of a good thing".
