In phase 2, use the giant bomb attack to your advantage. Just run away from it and then as soon as the flower petals start to fade, run in and blast her with a bunch of free hits.
Spamming Rivers of Blood L2 special with a mimic out doing the same thing (just have some Mind, or potions for it) can stunlock her reasonably well in both phases, and she can fight back enough that it doesn't feel like full-on cheesing.

Victory! For some reason Tiche was extra on point and kept knocking Malenia down or shooting her with that life drain attack. I mostly just had to dodge and stay out of the way for most of phase 2. It was so weird since the other 40 or so attempts at phase 2 Tiche would mostly just blink around and occasionally life drain Malenia, rarely knocking her down. I'll take it

Got past the fire giant somehow. Not really a fan fighting the huge guys on foot, the dragon in the next part was kinda awful as well. Hard to see and aim (hit).
The difficulty really got higher after the capitol. Still managing along with my Mimic. Got the Godskin duo down before I quit for the day, but it was close.

I just got the mimic tear last night after working my way through the eternal city, which was a really cool zone.
I do have a question about it. Will it use any memorized spells you have or just the one that you currently have selected upon summoning?

I think mine do both spells I have memorized.
I usally have the 3 sword spell selected but I saw him use the Terra Magic circle on ground buff also.

I know it does that, I'm just wondering if it will pull from all of your memorized spells, or just the one that you literally have selected. I tried to screwing around with it and it just doesn't seem to do a lot other than attack and run around.
I know at one point they nerfed it, and I never used it prior to that patch. I wonder if the AI on it was just a hell of a lot better than.

Heading towards wrapping up caelid and other shit and all I can say is I’m going to have to pay my dentist a fucking fortune. I have never clenched my fucking teeth this hard in a game. Hours of WoW heroic and mythic raiding included. I can’t even think of an equivalent…maybe old school WoW dungeons when shit got hairy. I barely played EQ. Maybe my first Uber Elder in PoE. But that’s like a few minutes of clench. A single dungeon world section can be a goddamn hour or more of clench here. You can’t really overpower it except with a buffed out wep and then you still gotta fucking move right.
I think I’m gonna try demon’s souls remake after I finish this and play some hello kitty island adventure to decompress.

Caelid is probably my most hated area I've been to. I went in there at one point prior to the lake area, and got blasted. Went and completed the lake, and finally came back and started clearing my way through it. Just all of the trash mobs are so fucking annoying. I also don't like the music ( same with the underground areas).
I think I still have one or two other places I've got to complete in there and then I can move on to the Altus Plateau and volcano mountain.

If you can get pased the linearity compared to Elden Ring, its a great game to start with......though a few of the bosses are a bit underwhelming, the levels are REALLY well done, and the Dark Souls series are even better IMO. (Especially since they are all interconnected instead of a hub area like in DS.
Dark Souls 1 is probably my favorite along with Bloodborne, though I didnt hate DkS2 either. I'd say 3 is the most polished but for me it seemed a little short, due to my familiarity most likely.

Just hit my first boss that smashed me 30+ times and used me as toiletpaper. Finally got the bitch down with a lucky stagger at the very end after my Mimic was a bloody pool on the floor. I hate these chaotic guys that fly everywhere.
