I think we all ran into that and there are just a few areas that it’s best to just not try to fight the enemies in that area. The ruins you first come upon in the snow area, the town area in the snow, and the branches in the Haligtree (if you decide to go there, that is whole place is optional).I'm finally getting to snowfield and heligtree or whatever it's called. This is the first time in my 120 hours that I'm starting to feel like the enemies are getting cheap. Massive hp pools, bunch of stuff almost one-shots me even though I am, what I thought was over leveled ,at 135. Still one of the best games I've ever played, but the frustration is starting to set in. Does it continue to ramp up from here or do things level off? I haven't lit the forge yet.

I may be forgetting an area or two but most of the late game stuff outside of those, while stronger than previous areas, are fair. Those areas I mentioned are the places I felt like they were “cheap” and just ran by stuff instead.
Arent there bell things for smithing stones in Haligtree or are they in more accessible areas?
I fell to my death…many times. I yelled once “no fucking way that’s fucking bullshit!” at the top of my lungs while wearing my headset and my wife ran in thinking there was a emergency. She was like “really?” And I just muttered something about a tree being bullshit. LolAlso didn't bother trying to clear out the Halig branches, fuck that AIDS.
Lol I definitely would call those assholes that shoot bubbles aids."He's in there yelling about AIDS again"
The mini ones were ok. It's the big one I affectionately refer to as giant bubble faggot that caused me a death or two trying to clear instead of charge down
Haligtree is awful. I ended up sprinting past lots of spots with enemies, and dying repeatedly to find the next Grace Site. Then with it unlocked, heading back, or forwards from the previous one to clear out the item pickups. I certainly did not bank many souls into levels during that whole area. I was around lvl 130 at the time.I'm finally getting to snowfield and heligtree or whatever it's called. The early game is the time when someone is most likely to quit / give up / be daunted into oblivion, especially for a series first-timer. First time I played Bloodborne, the first area made me quit after the first day. Course I gave it another shot and yada yada, told the story on here. Fact is, if the first area doesn't grab someone, that might be it for them. Starting out weak and feeble with no idea how to survive is the kind of thing that'll make an already-apprehensive guy give up. Now, doing all of the above with a badass katana that can at least do some damage...dramatically increases the odds that he'll stick with it long enough to get hooked.
