My question is if they're going to do instanced dungeons, or will the world be persistent? I'd love to see a return to non-instanced dungeons.

Id expect alot of these answers at SoE event - and i still expect it to be released by end of 2015 with a summer 2015 beta that will have a "founder" pricing scheme to get in.

The proposed structure was procedurally generated dungeons/cave systems, no static dungeons.

I didn't hear anything about procedurally generated dungeons but i heard that they dungeons will be hidden and have to be discovered on each server. They are instanced in a vague way kinda of like wow phasing in that you can dig down into a dungeon and only you can use that entrance. Every week or so an earthquake happens and resets everything.

Yea. I hope thats only for a few dungeons if its true. Before we all started porting to the inside of the beginning of each dungeon via PUG Finder, I actually enjoyed checking out some of the entrances that designers came up with. Its a dead game that will never have any return for sequels, but Kingdoms of Amalur made a HUGE deal about Doors in that game. They felt like every door that led you to a significant mob needed a special door. It seems so trivial, but that shit was noticeable to me. Things like that add so much to the game in the most passive ways.

That sounds awful
That'll be limited to those underground caves as a way to have always fresh content. I'm sure there will be plenty of static underground shit, too, but I didn't think it was a bad idea to implement honestly. It probably won't be memorable content, but at least there will constantly be new shit coming will the more designed bits are being implemented.

They have to reset it otherwise the entire world would be a giant hole or be so limiting on where and what you can dig to be useless.

My expectations for this game are still really low.

I hope there is more to this game than digging holes and spelunking.
from what they've said, only in some areas is the higher tier conent underground, in some places the underground is lower tier than the above ground and I think the alluded to somd kind of sky kingdom nonsense where the higher tier content is overhead.

They've said that there will be below ground points of interest that are static. Cave systems that open on to them, however, will change periodically. Just because an entrance to the Void Demon's lair was beside the river last week, doesn't mean it'll be there next week. The lair is still there, though.

Less significant areas (underground mob/treasure cave #6548) will appear and disappear over the course of time proceedurally.

27 more days till SOE Live.

What do you think we will see? What do WANT to see?

I know most of it is going to be some dressed up landmark demo but i REALLY want to hear some in depth information on how combat classes and PvE is going to work.

If they don't show us a large amount of information this year then I think the hype will truly have died and they will be in trouble. Announcing both Landmark and Next simultaneously last year was a mistake.

Probably mostly landmark I'd assume but I do really want to learn more about classes.
And maybe other race showoffs, that would be great.

Honestly, SOE could stop production on EQN, wait 5 years and start it again and unless something comes out that blows our minds between then and now, there will still be hype about EQN. If you honestly believe otherwise I think you are underestimating bland the MMO market has been recently, and how thirsty many of us are for some of the EQ Kool-aid.

I wont care about any videos they show. Theyll be nice, but I really just want them to answer a big chunk of the questions that people have presented.

I doubt they even know many answers to how EQ Next will work. Anything they tell you now is likely going to change multiple times before release.

Yea, I'll just be happy if they have some of the storybricks stuff actually in game and can show it off.

I'm not expecting much in the way of EQN information. From the way they talk in the landmark live streams, they are still figuring a lot out.
