So was there any new info on EQ:N? I didn't get a chance to watch the presentation.
Yes - though it was mostly new info about EQN/L. Convo should probably post it in the OP.

Adventurer class from Landmark carries over to EQN. So you can start multi-classing from the start (Adventurer/Starting Class)

Looks like you can carry over your entire EQN/L character if you want (which of course raises the questions: can you be something other than human in EQN/L).

6-Man groups in EQN

The Iron Golem might be a raid mob.

EQN/L has early mounts and transport between worlds - no clue how this carries over to EQN.

EQN/L has terrain modification on your claimed land.

EQN/L has no Auction House instead something like Bazaar near Landmarks (starting point in EQN/L)

Carry over classes is awesome if you can max your crafting mining type stuff before the game comes out and then harvest whatever.

Iron golem better do something crazy he's so slow you can kite that bitch all day.

No auction house is +1000 that means no RMT shit in game at least. Loving the news today!

From my light perusal of information, I thought EQN/L was just a separate game that operated more or less like an offline, single player rpg but the shit that you build is purchasable by SOE to be included in the real EQN game.

But now I'm reading here that there's going to be classes, claimable land, mounts, other shit that makes it seem like it's an actual game.

Can someone explain in a few sentences just wtf EQN/L is?

Someone posted a link to a video of the presentation a couple pages back. Worth checking out, if only for the time lapse videos of construction in Landmark, which is pretty damn extensive. I was expecting the ability to build structures and dig tunnels on your plot of land, but it looks like you can completely terraform everything. Assuming you could get enough players to coordinate, you could theoretically create a complete one-to-one recreation of EQ1: cities, dungeons, and outdoor zones.

It's Minecraft in Norrath. Massive randomly generated world in which you can build. Each world will have multiple continents; the middle and main continent is Norrath-themed, but players will be able to do whatever they want on other continents. You can also apparently level up your Adventurer class, and characters from EQNL will be able to transfer to EQN on launch day. Items created in EQNL will be able to be packaged up and sold as real estate in the station store.

Right, I'm aware you can build shit. But if you're just building shit that is transferable to the real game, then why have classes/mounts/skills etc in EQN/L ?

Ok thanks Lenas. So basically the non-building aspects of EQN/L are very limited though they are transferable to the real game. Plus the building stuff in EQN/L

There's only one class confirmed for EQNL, the Adventurer. They haven't said anything about skills and mounts are for easier travel across the huge world.

That's basically what I'm really hoping happens. Seeing what they were able to create in hours time I don't see why it wouldn't be possible for this to go down with larger groups.
