I love the reddit hate train, mostly because it comes from this website where the only truely sane people choose not to post at all and stay Lurkers and half the people that post are completely delusional about their experience with one game ten years ago, and the other half really only exist to troll the other half.

Every question answered usually just leads to more questions right? They want to make sure a consistent message is sent out and that it is controlled. Changing a huge part of the tried and true will lead to confusion and naysaying no matter what. It's beyond time that everything was shaken up dramatically.

And if that's truly the case then they're obviously doing a shitty job of explaining the major selling points of their game. I started feeling very warmly towards this game during the reveal but I've been cooling on it considerably every single day since. And that's something they should keep in mind, because it's going to get to a point where I stop following the game completely and lose interest. I'm certainly not the only potential consumer trending that direction. That's just bad fucking business.

And yet, there does seem to be at least some validity to it. The arc of the combat discussion being what first comes to mind; it took a few days for the discussion to move past "omfg, no trinity!!" to thinking about how it could actually work if they can pull off the ai they're talking about.

Does it justify going quite as slow as they are with releasing new info? Perhaps not, but I do get the reasoning behind it.
