No point on going back and forth with Teekey. He's just trying to balance us. A role he has totally embraced and we need guys like him imo.. Regardless if I agree with all his points lol. Overall he's a pretty insightful poster
I think mainly the wait and see approach... I don't feel comfortable with that. People need to be vocal at every turn b/c this game has so much up in the air in so many ways. Now is the time to speak up So maybe we can continue to be dicks but we need to focus on being more constructive dicks!? lol
Btw.. this places hasn't gone downhill it's been in the gutter a long ass time as I like it like that

If we were ever going to complain about something like character models, now is the time to do it. They have plenty of time to change them. It's not like this game is launching into open beta next month or something.
They had shown many concept pieces that are now on the cutting room floor. It's pretty obvious that the DE was from the same concept collection as the first human male they were showing . What we are seeing now is what we are getting, for the most part.
Btw, I do think they will alter the Kerran lion face. The DE isnt as bad, imo.

i don't think the kerran lion face is going to much matter to a lot of people. they said there's gonna be more than just the lion head and color scheme.

In comparison to the DE's, the Kerran Lion-O is fine. DEs are one of the most popular races, Kerrans not so much.
They said their will be more cat heads, so I don't think Keran is a lion race, its more of a cat race. So you will see Lions, tigers, panthers etc. I think this is to alleviate the issue with the faces not being extremely modifiable in an editor considering more human-like faces can have slight variations that would be noticeable by the human eye.
If the different Kerran races are just reskinned models without the lion's mane, I hope they change the model to be more heroic looking; more fierce.
I'll be curious to see what they do with the rest of the perceived evil races. If I see a troll with a big goofy grin on his face I'm probably gonna lose my mind.
God....the difference...Nah they looked pretty similiar to old Male Art.
I think they are just playing with us....they knew EVERYONE would complain about this model and they probably have the real dark elf behind curtains that will be revealed in a few months...that way they'll use the "we hear the players" promo before launching.

they may not even have "evil races." they've been touting moral ambiguity as far as the gods go, so who knows?
