Eh. I'm sure they'll be in, along with Frogs and even Orcs but after some future Rallying Call. Just not important enough to be in at release.
Sorry, shoulda specified. Won't be there at launch. I'm sure there will be Grobb and Rivervale Rallying Calls. Why waste easy nostalgia content?

Kerrans were a launch race in EQ2 and have been in EQ1 for 11 years... They are not out of place.
Yes I know Kerrans are part of the EQ universe but we've seen what they look like...had we gotten a cat race that was fierce looking that would be a different story. Reminding me I like Kellogs Corn Flakes doesn't set well with me. As far as centaurs are concerned yes I'm serious, this is a reboot right?

Highly likely. If not at release, very soon after.
I could see them not being playable at release simply because after getting kicked off "antonica" the combine proceeds to get their ass beat by the shissar created iksar (most likely the only faction of iksar currently) and have to run away from them.

Yeah but wasn't there something about a few Iksar helping the Combine or some crap like that? Blah. Blah. Blah.

Sorta. The Shissar on Kunark have Iksar slave armies. The Iksar rebel after ~500 years against the Shissar, and the Combine (who are slaves at this point) join the Iksar in the rebellion and they kick the Shissar off Norrath (again). Afterwards, the Iksar and Combine grow distant because the Combine races think the Iksar are behaving a bit too much like their former masters, so they pack up their shit and head to Amaril. Then EQNext starts.

So Iksar might be an expansion species available after a "Return to Kunark" rally call is completed. Unlock an Iksar character for $9.89.

Coudnt care too much about how many races, as long as the gameplay isnt dumbed down for retards and 4 year olds.

2013: 6 races, 1 starting city, but you can dig ditches. welcome to everquest next!
planetside
2003: 10 continents, completely custom classes via certifications, more choices from leveling - no power gain, more advanced base mechanics, doors, etc
2012: 3 continents, set classes, certifications give power, little purpose to bases, no doors

but hey PlanetSide 2 has the forgelight engine, better graphics, CoD/BF gunplay, and NVIDIA PhysX. It must be better...right?!

It really sucks
