White knighting? To think, here I was, unaware that EQN is not actually a video game but a living, breathing girl.
While it certainly does not suck, battlefield is basically the same game on smaller scale with the difference being that everything about the gunplay and fighting mechanics being much better in the battlefield games, the environment being destructible is head shoulders over planetside as well. Comparing fpses planetside doesn't hold up. If I want to go out and get in some good kills and some good objective play battlefield is soo much better because there is no follow the Zerg or cap empty bases mechanic.
Somewhere between 99 and 2010 mmo devs forgot the elusive ability to code in a day night cycle and rain/weather.
At least the EQL/N folks have rediscovered this magical ability.
So there's hope for trolls and maybe even ogres that don't look like orcs also at some point.

At a certain point your constant complaining becomes annoying. It's one thing to have criticism...but you attack everything, even if you have no idea if it's fact.

Nah that doesnt keep current WoW players from checking it out because they are bored. Blizzard will schedule a content patch if EQN seems mediocre at the time or even an expansion if it looks like a success. Business as usual.

Blizzard is screwed (in the short term - long term maybe they'll release the EQN Killer). The people most interested in EQN are currently playing but seriously bored WoW players. EQN will do to WoW, what WoW did to EQ.
Also expect Blizzard to release a WoW Progression server (starting with Vanilla) around the EQN beta.

Honestly, I think Wildstar is the bigger threat in the short term. It looks just like an improved WoW and what kind of mediocre patch is going to top that? EQL will grab a lot of people's attention as well. I think Wildstar would still eat that progression server up and EQL is a different kind of experience really. EQN itself, will be the straw that breaks the camel's back. Titan will not get done fast enough to matter. Times are looking rough for our favorite treadmill maker.
Space-WoW with minor improvements and additional features. For me, it falls into the category of I'll play it if I know other people playing it, but I don't have significant interest in the game and I expect my interest to wane within 2 months.

I'm going to buy up a shit ton of property then rent them to other players for in-game currency, using the permission system. If those fuckers refuse to pay up, I cut them off!
I also reserve the right to resell anything they create in the PlayerStudio.
you're right, they'll probably offer everything in the game for free. cause, that's how they make money off a F2P model....

Yup, it's amazing how much immersion that adds. FF14 has it and it's amazing. SWTOR? Man those 'worlds' were stale as hell. Sure they lacked more than a day/night cycle but without it they were even more turrible. Just turrible
