Right. Derp. As a subscriber to the drama, I shoulda known.Uncontested OW and deeper splits.
I am sure they’ll begin competing soon.Right. Derp. As a subscriber to the drama, I shoulda known.
Where's RI? Weren't they supposed to be waiting to pounce with their ranger army or something? Their guild bank suddenly "vanish" recently? Lol
We don’t have 500 mains now. We didn’t have 150 on Mischief.500 main guild vs 150 main guild.
No one indicated otherwise? What are you even trying to argue lmao. That hate boner is clouding your judgment.Cool story bro. We both know you're raiding with a lot more people on Teek then you had on Mischief.
It's actually 72 characters versus 72 characters, but cry more?500 main guild vs 150 main guild.
OK, i'm stealing that one. lolThat hate boner is clouding your judgment.
People like to throw around zerg a lot on TLP like it’s an insult. Maintaining a healthy roster is the whole challenge of running a guild. No guild on any of these TLPs has a strenuous application process. Most guilds are taking whoever they can get, especially guilds recruiting in general chat.
If every guild will take almost any player, and most of the players choose a specific guild, there is a reason for it.
In late Velious there was a guy in RI talking shit after losing a bunch of raids. Turns out he thought they were winning all these races and we just got the serverwides because we tagged them first. Neither guild is full of scholars. It's a bit of an insult. Everquest is and has always been a numbers game though. We can argue that a DPS race is 72 vs 72 but there are a lot more factors at play, such as being able to actually field a raid of 72 DPS ONLY at all times of the day. IMO the general population of a guild with hundreds of members (AKA a zerg) will be idiots who think they are God's gift to EQ because they turn on their auto attack in OW.
It's all about leadership and how many dumbasses you can fill a roster with.

Small RMT/Krono squads are probably the “best” guilds by both loot per capita (by miles) and by average player skill.
500 main guild vs 150 main guild.
More of an issue of making right decisions for the longevity of the guild / having an environment that is able to integrate new people. There was a long stretch were RI was winning almost all content from last half of Kunark through first week or two of Velious - they couldnt manage to build something outside of their core group to last through the losing phase that came after Kunark though. It's a bit of an insult. You are right that every guild will take almost any player but only TWO guilds actually compete for OW. So you either join the current winners or current losers, it's a pretty easy decision.

The last two weeks of Kunark in Faceless we were pulling like 25-30 people to their 50-60 in VP and still racing them. I dont remember us every crying about their zerg relative to our numbers.
