I'd be willing to bet with the population that the server has right now, that it may stretch out a bit longer than a couple weeks. An absolute metric fuck ton of players that have never played EQ, or havent played EQ since early retail are playing on this server. Im not sure why so many missed the Mischief boat, but theyre here in force now. That should be good money for the guys that are farming stuff to sell this time around. But kudo's to DB for the server infrastructure and getting so many people online at once. I saw a lot of picks for places like Lguk and Chardok on Mischief, but never this many. The game running smooth, and not lagging, at least for me, ever.

As far as the groups go for those of you complaining, when this day wraps up and your normies go back to work - you'll find the type of people you're looking for. Rajaah - I'm still in law school doing a couple summer classes, and I run my own business, so common sense had to barge in earlier than expected. If I see you on and you're LFG, Ill pick you up. Ive had more success with me charming one, 1.5 healers, and the rest melee, than I have any other group when I do log in and pug.

I'm any case, they then still share with the kithicor rogue epic dark elves (all of them) who don't often drop loot so those probably got rolled and then didn't roll loot.

Technically it’s me but we’ve got a pretty decentralized team because it’s got the leadership from every other Faceless guild (not Darth though) working together.

I'm actually not really a fan of all this new anni tower 140hp/mana +regen and insane stat gear in classic. A piece or 2 sure, but half a dozen? Kinda negates raiding alot. Only going to get worse and worse as more gear is added.

There were remnants of them existing in the original game and then they were actually brought to life many many years later and have pretty damn good rewards. The first player who finishes each kunark archaeologist quest gets the system wide.

Half the server is retarded. Like, really, really retarded. Are you playing this server? If you have a static of good players you play with and don't play outside of that you won't see it, but they're really bad. I'm rusty in a lot of ways and don't know a lot of new shit, but these people are disability levels.

I've played with good players too though, particularly now that I've filtered more and more retards out. Banged 55-60 out yesterday in literally a few hours with a good group.

It is quite bad for the server, obviously you need to do it ASAP as does everyone, because in a TLP environment you can't refuse literally 5 BiS items for free. But for most classes there is no arguable upgrade for these slots until Vex Thal loot, some until PoP. And we will be getting another slot opened mid-June, and another mid-July etc.

However, this was actually brought up in Official Discord months ago, and both Ngreth and Niente seemed to feel that it's a "oh well, special Anniversary content just means these servers will have different loot available."

One of our officers actually posted a thread on the official forums arguing that it isn't really good for game balance etc in Kunark, the thread was put into "moderation review" (meaning no one could see it) within 15 minutes, then was rejected by the moderators (likely Angeliana.) It seems like DPG isn't interested in the feedback.

I have heard anecdotally from people pugging that it's tough sledding out there.

It hasnt been that bad for me other than a few one offs, but I noticed its been 3 fucking times now that Ive grouped with a necro who just spam twitches the cleric while stuff takes forever to die. I dont know if its the new cuck lifestyle or something? Kill the fucking mobs so we dont need to keep healing wtf. Oh well, other necros were good. Only class thats a literal 100% miss rate with me is wizards. Literally none have not been afk then dumpers.

Agnarr was worse for pugs.

I've basically never pugged on a TLP going back to Lockjaw so I can't really get a good feel for that experience, but several of our guildies have mostly pugged up to 60 or near 60 over the long weekend. That would seem to be "good enough" to me, hitting 60 in the first week primarily pugging is a very reasonable pace I think.

I have started to see the typical "flame outs" that I have been seeing cycle on TLPs since 2015. Their typical cadence is:
1. Go very hard to max level, minimal sleep.
2. Get max level.
3. Immediately quit because "it's too much."

It is a very strange mentality to me, especially because over each cycle of TLP you identify certain individuals who do this every single time, so for some of them that is their only real experience of EQ TLP, playing nonstop to max level for 3-4 days then quitting. I generally dislike leveling, the launch statics and rush to max level are my peak of "things I dislike on a TLP", and I am very happy when they are over.

It isn't that hard once you finish launch to dial in your playtime to something that fits with your life, but a lot of people just seem like they are psychologically incapable of doing that. They can go omega hard for a launch then they say "wow I can't do this" and quit. Which is weird because after launch you can literally chill for 12 weeks on Teek--actually longer, because Velious and Luclin are not even level increase expansions.

Not sure where you missed this is a free trade server and everyone can buy raid gear...... It's not the raiding aspect, its the making every other item in era and 3 expansions forward completely obsolete.

My friend who's been complaining endlessly about the pugs is also only 40 or so - possibly he's playing with a different slice of the playerbase than the guys that are already 60 at this point.

He usually goes pretty hardcore, but work situation doesn't allow for it this go. Maybe more of a case of him not used to playing with people on the slower end of the curve vs. something specific to Teek.
