Not a lawyer, but not sure they can selectively take down an emu, they let P99 exist so haven't they kinda relinquished some rights as a result?

Anywho, Teek exists and is a perfectly fine server, the more the new one sucks the better off Teek will be. All the worst grifters and degenerates will still move to the new one because that's where the easy marks are.

There is actual money involved in THJ. THJ has echoes of memory(EOM) you can buy. They let you buy some stuff(illusion clicky items, special bags, and a few other things) you can only buy with EOM's. It's like $1 per EOM roughly. You can buy EOM's with plat in game from other players though so they kinda of work like a WoW token/Krono. I was surprised to see they have it in game because I think it will cause a redflag with Daybreak. Maybe they don't care. Who knows.

You can donate to P99, but you get no rewards from it.

I'll never play another TLP again (90% certain), but:

-Start in Kunark
-2 Month expacs for everything not squished into other Xpacs already
-All loot dropable
-Mobs drop "bonus loot" from the pool, so Ghould Lord drops Yaks as well as a chance to drop Jboots along with them, etc
-Pet inventories (to an extent) like THJ with some stat gain.
-Spawnable respawning picks
-Hot Zones like the new server that maybe make a "heroic" version of existing zones, like grinding Sebilis at level 75 with appropriate hp/drops (will never happen)

There's a bunch of theoretical shit they could add too, but it'd be more work than they're capable. Stuff like group gauntlets, dynamic scaling raids, "lockout points" (raid AoW twice in one week exchanging it for your NToV timer), item roll variables (think Yaks rolling another stat like +1-9 stamina), but all of that is if this was a big dick game with 100k people, and not the same 10k that have been playing more or less the same underwhelming game for the last 15 years.

Did Teek get an xp bump with the patch? Hearing rumors that they didn't update xp with GoD launch and that it required a server restart so we weren't getting it until today.

Out of curiosity, at this point, what would everyone's "Holy Grail" TLP look like?

I actually don't mind that they're doing different rule sets, some things are going to appeal more or less and it's fine to have some options.

My major wish would be the option to spawn a private instance of any zone. I want to be able to log in, set a goal and try to do it. I can't really do that if every named is permanently camped because it happens to share a loot table with X or Y. I don't mind doing the whole Quillmane spawn dance but I don't want to have to race a bard speed mage army using showeq. Also don't like getting invited to a group only to find they don't have a camp and spend 20 minutes /picking around trying to find one.

Basically, remove some of the negatives from the game world having other players in it. This is the direction the industry has been moving for years and AoCs were a large step in that direction, could do the same for solo/group play.

Freely tradable loot I could take or leave at this point. It's convenient but it does cause some of the issues outlined above.

I would like to see something pretty radical. Like a big class balance pass that shakes up the meta and brings up some weaker classes.

Scaleable raids or something along those lines, so you could raid with like 18-24 ppl.

I'd probably have better luck searching for the actual holy grail.

Honestly they just need to reduce the cadence. Let some amount of hype build up.

I’d love a version that scaled content to hit the 3-4groups of people and heavily policed automation.

My ideal server is basically Project Quarm without all the custom shit.

As classic as possible. Slow exp. Slow spawns. Rare loot. No QoL. Old client. Original expansion timeline or slower. Also I’m retired so I have time to play it.

I'm like the above, I want spawnable zones to myself. Make them cost 100 funbucks or something.

Wild wacky race/class combos.

Iron price bonus, minor stat boosts if you loot an item as opposed to trading for it.

No krono.

Built in hardcore/self-found etc modes.

What I want probably sucks but...
Luclin start with loy included, aka loy before pop. 2 month lockouts but all of a given level's content released at once.

Raid lockouts are no longer a set time, they reset every sunday. So raids are 1/wk and you can do it whatever time and you can skip days and then go back or do funky launch shit without your normal schedule fucked.

The hotzone idea from the upcoming server, but add some kind of currency that can get literal top tier raid loot if collected. People can kit out without raiding. It should require several times as much effort (aka playtime) as raids but be an option.

Remove replay timers from basically all group content missions. Who cares if people want to chain farm for an shaman spear etc.

Remove all forms of player count numbers to spawn non aoc instances.

Most importantly...

Leveling something like 10 times the live rate, and aas maybe quadruple or so. Getting xp should be a complete and total nonfactor. People's bottlenecks are getting loot and doing tasks and whatever other shit. Xping is the worst part of the game.

I'd only play a TLP where they deliberately made it much harder. Sitting around with an OP group or raid waiting on respawns or being the puller zooming around half the zone because everything is trivial is so boring. I might as well be playing some mobile game with zero gameplay.

Many ways to do this, idc which are used. level locking under current content, everything nodrop including plat, an actual death penalty, global monster buffs, faster respawn, reduced group size to 3 or 4, random big dick named spawns , whatever.

How would Lures do against a massive level disparity? A 20 level difference seems like it'd lock out even super low-resist nukes.

Necro Lifetaps, IIRC, weren't affected by level gaps once upon a time. Don't know if Lures are on the same system, or if Lifetaps even still function the same way.

Well, it seems clear to me that the devs don't actually want people clearing the top-end content at level 50, as they've given no incentive for doing it, gear is level-locked, and they're nerfing things that might make it more doable. Which makes me wonder if there's any point in this server for a raider. It's a cool idea compared to a generic classic start server but not compared to the more interesting servers we already have. Well, people who want to do the TLP merry go round can jump on this one and people who want to continue beyond GoD can stay on Teek.

Don't really know. Probably something I don't know I want. The most successful creators (and musicians, and politicians) out there are the ones who give their audience something they didn't even realize they wanted. Super Mario RPG, Elden Ring, things that come out of nowhere and combine elements from multiple genres in a way that appeals to everybody.

All of that said, probably Selo 2.0 with a classic start and an expanded 6 week unlock timer across the board, Vaniki's lack of gear restrictions, Mischief's random loot, and FV free trade. No box restrictions from the get go, AOCs, extra GM support to deter warping and cheesing... pretty much a Megazord super-fusion of all their good ideas.

Barring Vaniki style changes Wizard are pretty much fucked, anything more than a certain number of levels higher is a hard nope on landing nukes, like nothing you can do, 100% resist.

Found this out doing Fire/Water minis week 1 of PoP while under level 65.
