No idea. However, I'm sure you have to pick a name for your avatar, in any case. It's not like they are just gonna make you pick a male or female and then apply your station name.
I paid for Alpha, haven't gotten any word that it was available yet? unless it's friends/family alpha right now.

As I understand it, you're restricted to humans, but are otherwise able to customize your character. I recall them mentioning that once EQN launches you'll be able to transfer over your Landmark character (well, his appearance) if you want to, so they must have at least some of the human customization options in place.

True enough ,with all my bitching about Troll Ninja Paladins back in the weeks after the SOE presentation , I knew damn well I would try EQN , and same with EQL , so went ahead and bought in couple months ago instead of waiting till this week. I'm an mmo whore , (maybe slut the better term) and have to try most every one. Honestly though , Ponytail and Co have made me actually be much more impressed with EQL than I thought I would be with more and more info I get on it.

I'm the same way. I loved the original EQ but WoW was a better made game and I also enjoyed it early. I wasn't sure I'd play this at first even though I've played every EQ made(including that horrible RTS game). The more I heard, the more I liked.
