Thankfully I stopped believing PR speak from game developers quite a long time ago.
True its not really a traditional MMO so a lot less to work on(quest, items, raids, dungeons etc).

Latest poll question is out. Impact of weather/seasons in Landmark. After seeing this video of a weather front on the Unity engine, I'm hoping to see something like that pulled off on the Forgelight engine.

That Unity weather video is what sold me on the engine. Just hoping this stuff actually gets implemented in games.
I'm not sure which I would enjoy more , them launching the alpha now so I could play , or if they miss and don't launch it until after the party.

I feel like the more excited these people are now (the ones who can't shut up for more than 20 seconds about how they can't stop f5ing) , the more likely they're going to be to throw tantrums about the game not being exactly how they imagined it later.
Man I'm glad I stuck to the $60 version.
Linked a EQNL video to a friend who hadn't heard about it before. First remark 'This guy talking seems super sketchy'. 'Yeah they call him ponytail.'

Same here. He sounds slimy at first but then once you get used to him, the enthusiasm spills out and he's done a good job so far with the info. Even the horrible polls are tolerable now. Compared to Brad, he's a much better lead of a project. Sad to say, but true.
The dev responses on this one are amusing. They all say yes , have it affect gameplay in some form or fashion other than Steven Klug who says for flavor only.

My first impression of ponytail was "slimy used car salesman", but he's grown on me a lot over time just because he always sounds so passionate and excited about the game, in sort of a "Look how cool this shit is!" kind of way. I guess that is how used car salesmen try to get you, though.
Not to get too personal attack like , but honestly Omeed comes off in videos more "slimy" to me than ponytail does now. No idea why , just gives me that impression.

Of all the people, Omeed just seems to be the dude the dude that knows nothing about the franchise or MMOs in general and his whole job is to be a salesman. It's a shame there's going to be an in-game emote of him (at least in Landmark) now, I feel like there's a 100 other people that should have been given a nod before him.
