Yeah, I was expecting a world about the size of Kalimdor where I could find some valley with like 2 other people and set up a good distance away.

I got a killer claim on the top of a mountain, last night.. Was pretty lucky, but I understand what they mean by certain claim locations being more desirable

Not horrific lag here but noticeable at times. Also a weird lighting issue with it goes from sunlight to shadowy and back and forth at times for me (others have said they have it also).

Didn't even do my claim yet , just running around gathering and exploring still when able to play. From the forums many lost their claim upon login or after trying to move it so I'm waiting a day on that.

I haven't noticed any lag. Graphics wise or other. My sample size is pretty small though since I haven't played much yet but it was pretty packed last night when I logged on. Not so much today though since I guess everyone is spread out doing their own thing.

The lag will show at times with things like chat taking 10 secs to show up sometimes , chopping a tree even when done leaves it still making the sound and waiting to fall down 5 secs later and so on. It's not gamebreaking by any means but I do have that sometimes.

And it must depend entirely on where you are for claims , I'm standing in wall to wall claims for as far can see right now.

BTW don't delete your character. Seems most everyone who does that and tries to recreate has none of their items coming back from the packs. No claim flag , bonus pick etc (it's a bug of course just a warning you likely will run into that).

Seems many tried deleting and restarting a new character because their claim was missing upon login.

Seems like every piece of land was claimed. After hours of searching I found a claim on the side of a mountain. Going to have to get creative in order to build something on it.

You get more streamed in game , but they have tons to add still.

They do need to get more servers up , at least one or two. Think they are well beyond the alpha testing to see where the optimum load is both playing wise and land plot wise.

BTW the music is excellent , wife even says just leave the game up and let it play.

I haven't logged in as of yet but i'm patched up and ready. Yesterday and today have been the first days it hasn't been a winter catastrophe. I honestly thought it would be tough to find claims but I like that within reason. I want to have "neighbors" though I do want to have space as well. That's something that will need to be balanced over time.

Do we have a server/island?

Server is Courage, unsure about what location or if the chat channel is even working. I was able to join /rerolled but I couldn't figure out how to chat in it.

The game doesn't seem to remember where you have claims, so beware.

For anyone who "lost" their claim, it took me a while but I finally found mine. I had to search through all the Tier 1 islands; keep in mind, it seems that some islands have duplicate names, so one of the islands will be called Alpha_Tropical_Island000X and the other one will have a name like "Basin".. they look identical, but one doesn't have your claim, and one does..

Also, all the resources I laid down last night are gone, but everything crafted I placed was still there. I only lost a bunch of stone, but still.. I think I'm going to stick to resource collection for now

It's the number of the chat window. Probably 5 if that's the only channel you yourself joined.

Curious if the NDA was only there in case the whole thing went to crap upon launch. With SOE folks not even seeming to care about people streaming it , and Smed saying NDA isn't lasting long at all , I guess it only there to begin with in case of a huge fubar.
