A crypto company paid CCP to test run the crypto in game. Sounds like a giant bad idea. I know it's reddit but someone posted in game gifts under US law are taxable income. I know it's likely uncharter territory and CCP doesn't seem like a trend setter unless someone is paying them and that is the case this time.

I did like one of the comments, so if someone gifts you a titan and you lose it can you claim it as a loss on your taxes? I haven't logged in for a while and this doesn't really make me want to.

I have no idea how any of that would work, but I did just read that CCP is working on that new survival game spinoff from EVE (EVE Frontiers) that will be Blockchain/Ethereum based

I can't wait for people going to jail for tax fraud because someone gifted them some mage food in WoW and they didn't declare it on their tax form.

CCP and crypto is a match made in ...well. Company that couldn't come up with a database solution to keep track of who made what. Also one of my favorite things they evere said is after the removal of the in game browser "Gooogle couldn't come up with a browser that was safe". I'm sure it would have been difficult, but I think between the lines is we didn't want to pay Google enough to come up with a semi safe browser.

Think Hilmar can taste the next big thing he can put his name on instead of just watching over Eve online so he goes out of his way to try anything and everything. It comes around fairly often.

I haven't logged in for a while. Apparently this week they introducted a chat deal you could filter things in chat. Can cut out the hypernode and refferral chat and such. People been posting all the filters you can add in on reddit. I was always just a fan of not looking at Jita local myself. Apparently it works well suprisingly enough.

Same patch they basically shitcanned the last expansion when it comes to Sov. Didn't impact me but apparently they just scrapped the entire point of the expansion and rolled back a lot of stuff.

They added 1 hour vulnerability windows to skyhooks today, which basically removes the last tiny bit of impact or fun that the entire Equinox update provided.

Hard to not just assume the conspiracies are true at this point and CCP is entire beholden to the nullbocs, cause this change is such a fucking obvious reacharound to them I don't know what else to think.

Just seeing the topic on reddit, looks like 1 hour vulnerability every 3 days.

Yea I saw that, what an absolute joke.

1 hour of vulnerability every 72 hours when ansiblex exist? No skyhook is ever getting robbed again.

Not to mention the actual play is to rob your own skyhook on cooldown to avoid paying taxes lmao

So what's the TL;DR on EVE currently?

Shitty game getting even shittier?

Developers fucking things up even more?

Averaging like ~30k characters online during peak, probably 7k of them are individual players.

That about sums up a lot of it.

Some of the smaller scale system like faction warfare are legit fun these days tho if you wanna just fly around and blow up some frigates. Untill the 30 boxer FRAT guy shows up and AWOXES you for 'stealing' his LP though.

I don't know anyting personally, but apparently the Goons are leaving Delve and moving to the southeast. We shall see. Of course I know all players and leaders in Eve tell the truth.

If it's a troll they've sure dedicated a lot of logistics to it, cause they are actually moving from the looks of things

Not that surprising given the new sov 'power' systems and skyhooks etc- Delve just isn't as valuable as other space anymore, even if it's easily defensible (lol imagine a war in current Eve)

Lol Vanguard is in a barely playable alpha state.

They have....

One gun

One map

One enemy type

If it comes out even next year I'll be shocked.

Aftter the last two downtimes the server has come up and gates wouldn't be working. Just a plan to keep the goons from moving obviously. Yesterday they took the server down, not sure what will happen today.

Edit, server came up and gates weren't working then the server crashed or went down. Guess we will see if gates work when it comes up.

Edit - you don't have to wonder if gates are working or not when the server goes doesn. Again.

Goons made the move the last few days and may still be, outside my scope of stuff. Lot of talk about how many trillions of stuff was moved. My question would be, how much stuff got left because a member wasn't active or didn't log in? Who knows they might have got it all. Apparently it went well, kind of suprising considering now is the event that kills drop much more than average. I clicked on one video. I only watched a short time of it, can only watch a video of dreads and other caps warping to a rally point, video seemed like it would have went on forever but I only watched a few seconds of it.

There's something always goofy in Eve. I did not know but it came up on Oz Eve stream, a member of CSM. When goons were preparing for their move from Delve CCP emailed all members of goons/alliance to remind them to log in and move their stuff so it didn't get left.

Sounded funky to me. I guess CCP makes money when a shitload of people sub for a month to move their stuff.
