Every expansion was the same too, people would work hard, post EVERY ITEM that needed updating. They never did. 'Lets just vote in the next expansion, THOSE items will be fixed'.

I think I posted the Lucy pulling the football out from Charlie Brown at least 4 times for each release :p Suckers!


*edit Decided to try the new expansion (pre-ordered anyway even though Im on TLE server). I'm at level cap, but something is *seriously* wrong with mob mitigation or HP total. I'm whacking away at a mob for a minute, only dropped it a few %. And I need 8 to progress the intro questline.

I think I'd have more fun cleaning the house...

My brother told me it was like that too

Idk why games do that same way WoW is. Give the the mobs so much ho so you get bored fighting them after 45 minutes but they do no damage. Literally the least fun way to fight

The best part about this new xpac is they added... another stat, people are like 15k potency, which is like x15 the last time i raided, 2 years ago.

TBH after playing WoW for a little and now just doing a random dungeon on EQ2 I remember why always preferred EQ2
I get people shit on the amount of hotkeys but like at least youre doing a rotation. WoW is legit the same 3 keys over and over. I miss eq the quest

I'm on TLE a few nights a week (hey I like the people in my guild and the raids can be a good challenge even though its old content :p )

..but decided to check out the new expansion on live. I honestly think they're trying to just finally kill this game off. They'll have to rely on current players only, because there's just too high a barrier for new people wanting to check it out.

Just as an example, they invented a new stat (worked so good last time) and if you don't have it, fights take 15 minutes a kill. On top of that, you need a bunch of old school language quests just to do the solo story line. A quick primer on just ONE of the language quests in case you forgot :

To Speak as a Dragon
(be sure to show the rune locations just to see how long this takes :p )

I just dont see new blood interested in the game. I tried to post this on the official forums, but my god the neckbeards on that forum sound like angry devs on secret accounts. Jeebus.

They just shut down Landmark, I fully see this one being next.

Everyone has to speak as a dragon already for epic repercussions, and the others are probably easy. There isn't really a single language quest that you can't do in under 30 mins except for to speak as a dragon. But yeah last time I checked out the game they added i think ferver(?) which makes it to where you have to have a certain amount per mob to actually hit it. I'm pretty sure all my gear from a year ago is completely useless at this point.

You're thinking of Resolve, which reduces your damage done to the mob and increases the damage you take from the mob for every point of difference between your resolve and the mob's. Fervor is a damage multiplier that contributed to the increased fuckening of healer balance, among various other issues.

Your tablet is heirloom. So as long as you did it on one guy on the server you just examine that and you no longer need to get the runes

We totally found 2/3rds of those without a guide when it first came out. That language quest was nuts.... there was one dude in our guild that stayed up for 3 days straight clicking "everything" in the world ... probably found 4-5 of them for us.

Was there no Assassin in IE?
I remember them downing Darathar first - could of been done weeks before if Gambit Ex Nilho and like 5 people from IE joined together

Nah they had a ranger, lol yeah if we took all the people who hit 50 in that week period after the top did we coulda done darathar like week one of the server. But too many guilds with just 2 groups of 50's

Ok what did you do that was banworthy? :p The only sploits I heard about was people buying up heritage quest stuff from the vendor, mounting it for their house then reselling it for a stupid profit. Early on in the TLE server one guy in our guild bought a shit ton of Kronos doing that over and over :p

They would examine a mold from city raids, accept the quest, and then trade the mold to another person. You'd get the reward of some gold and could do it non stop so they were pretty much getting unlimited plat. Some retard in their guild went bragging about it and they got banned.

I'm still pissed my first toon was a healer and instead of farming or exploiting and buying tons of kronos I tried to just do the quests and stuff like that thinking the server was going to be any good

mold trading from the city raids, battlegrounds pling/items got you banned.

My favorite was the faction issues on PVP with cities. You could faction up to ally and not betray to either city while in exile, go into the city and attack people and the guards wouldnt assist. At times the guards would assist you and kill people from that faction. It was a pretty hilarious oversight from the devs.

I wonder if the housing exploit still works, if you put literally anything in a house and transfer servers everything in the house regardless of if it belongs to someone else it will become that persons property. So like you can transfer mounts, recipe merchants, etc.

Speaking of houses, I remember collecting those baby dragons for the original collector's box set. I probably had over half a dozen different ones wandering around my house. Poor things are sat neglected collecting dust in the interwebz somewhere.
