3 4 1 1 5 7 7 I can pick locks hack and pretty much everything even crafting except the charisma leadership stuff which actually seems pretty awesome. I got a book that gave me plus one to a special and put it on luck making it 8. When i track down these bobbles ill end 4 5 2 2 6 8 9, explosives are going to be the most op i can tell already. Access to all shooting weapons minus heavy weapons if I want that I can add 1 point and boom.
I love this game. Yes it has bugs what game doesn't I come from eq vanilla where shit was broken and we found ways around it. People are complaining too much just save a lot.
I will be playing this all day today and tomorrow after I get off today at 3.

Game is kinda brutal with just the 1 Endurance, Leather/Raider Armor, basic weapons and shit. Took me forever to get the Tenpines stuff done. On Survival mode.
Also, fuck that dog. He seems to be more annoying than useful and outright disappears on me a lot.

Yeah, I have a Calc exam at noon and I need to go cram for it. But no worries, I prob won't play this Fallout until the 2016/2017 Steam Christmas sale anyways so I'm good!

So what's the general consensus on this? Anyone here playing the PS4 version? Mine comes this afternoon. I am also curious how long I will have to patch before playing.
Seems like a 50/50 split between good and bad. One thing that I didn't like hearing was that the game was more like Borderlands than Fallout. Maybe they were talking about the shooting mechanics - which I would be ok with.

Overwhelming consensus here is its excellent. Ignore reviewers, several of them are whining that the game's story isn't like Mass Effect from what I can tell.
Its not Borderlands, but the new loot system is somewhat similar in a good way. The shooting is much better.
I would compare the changes in the shooting and some other small changes to be more akin to Bioshock in a good way, tbh.

I played 3 hours on PS4 last night. Digital copy. Load times aren't bad, but I have a hybrid drive installed.
It crashed on me at the end of the session as I was cleaning up my inventory. I was in the menu fiddling with the 'free' paint options that you can use on the power armor. The 'free' options that cost materials - what kind of free is that?!
I think it auto saves enough to ward off crashes. There is an option you can set so that it auto saves every N minutes when you enter the pip boy, with a default value of 10.
It's okay so far. Not outstanding.

But yeah. work is heavy deadlines. no time to play. Dr who, BVS Batman, Starfire, and JL lex.. all this week. all 14-16 hour days.

it took me 8 seconds to load the game (when I'm already in the game, from a savefile) on PS4 on a SSHD. It definitely takes longer to start the game though. There is also an irritating small delay whenever you exit a workbench/etc.
For the person asking how the console version is, I love it so far. I started playing last night around 10pm, I always go to bed right around midnight. I look up and its 2am and I completely lost track of time. The itch to play this game is strong.

Game is amazing so far, 100% Bethesda. Bugs, performance issues and bad design decisions that all have to be fixed by modders? Yep. Fun as shit anyway? Damn Straight!
I went in completely without a plan, focused mostly on PER(4)/CHA(5)/INT (9). I don't know if it was random loot or by design, but I found a Laser Sniper in Concord. After I blew through the minigun ammo, I switched to that and my power armor. I have managed to acquire four fusion cores so far, and I took the perk that gives them more juice, plus I found the bobble head that gives them a longer duration as well. So I have been just trucking around as a future soldier in my Flame Painted T-45 Model B suit of power armor with a laser sniper rifle, delivering electromagnetic justice to the wastelands. Got my main man Codsworth following me around, slicing molerats and torching raiders, its a good life.
Question time: Is there anything to do with duplicate sets of power armor? I got a set of raider armor, and I found a random ass set of T-45 just sitting in a ditch. You can't scrap them for parts it seems (unless it is tied to a perk?). So they kind of seem to just be paper weights, or I could arm my townsfolk with power armor, which would be hilariously awesome. Also, anyone have the lowdown on all the good stuff in Lexington? I don't think I can possibly aspie-out enough to check every nook and crannie of that place and it is dense as fuck with locations.
Also I really like the new Feral Ghoul AI, they now act more like fast zombies, as opposed to brain dead NPCs who run in 100% straight lines like it is Doom 2.

I'm probably a scrub but I'm finding the game to be decently challenging even on normal. Just exploring the north I've come across several areas where I got obliterated. (I'm looking at you BOOMER guy in the NE)
