Engine Speed tied to FPS
The Dog was a Lie (gimp not pimp)
You can save-scum repeatedly to game the drop system?
You can save-scum repeatedly to game triggered mob spawns?
Potentially no crits outside of VATS?

If true, Mods can't come out fast enough LOLOLOL
I don't get the save scumming bitch, who gives a shit if people want to be a faggot? Doesn't affect me if they're in their own home gargling cocks and juggling balls.

Mods should be able to completely update the UI right? Really not a fan of a stretched UI on an ultrawide monitor.

Yeah you'll see new UIs relatively quickly I imagine. SKYUI can be easily modified to fit into the new game I'm sure.

Doesn't seem like much more than a well modded FO3. Disappointed.
That's what the vast vast vast majority of the people who are fans of Fallout want.

Don't fix what isn't broken, or in Bethesda's case, don't fix what is broken, and don't fix what isn't broken. Just give us enough new Fallout that we can fix it ourselves.

I'm good with that. I'd happily pay $60 for a Fallout 3 mod with updated graphics that adds 50+ hours worth of side quests and locations, so this game works great for me.

The graphics definitely could be better though. After spending a lot of time with Witcher 3 in the past several months, Fallout 4 feels like regressing back a generation of graphics.

Feels like Fallout 3 + reskinned textures more than a completely new game/engine.

I take the game for what it is. A new Fallout experience. I got it discounted on GOG, and I'm gonna play the shit out of the unmodded game until awesome mods start coming out, then I'll play it again as a totally different game.

I can imagine what would go wrong if Bethesda tried to completely revamp its formula and that's a world I don't want to live in.

Think sub par literal Borderlands clone with Mass Effect compartmentalized gameplay completely unpolished. They're already halfway there as is. Let's not make this a world not worth living in.

Oh shit...I didn't realize each workbench/location had it's own inventory (unless you connect them with supply lines later on). I just figured it was one big shared inventory/bank and had been dumping all my excess crap at each workbench as I come across them in various locations.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH. Going to have to go consolidate them all into 1 location.

I don't really care myself, I think it's hilarious. But if I had to take a guess, it may boil down to putting players into the position of save-scumming for the best loots (ugh) or purposely avoiding it and gimping themselves, figuratively speaking (also ugh). I just think it's a weird design decision and I can't help but wonder if they ever discussed a different way of approaching it. The cynic in me thinks Bethesda doesn't give a fuck, but that's nothing new.

Followed on from the above...a few people have mentioned that they think the base game might be somewhat more difficult than FO3/NV was, which makes me wonder if that was purposeful and save-scumming was taken into account. We'll see over the next few weeks how it shakes out, I'm sure.

Me too. The Fallout franchise "tanks" and in 10 years, inExile buys the rights and makes a proper fucking Fallout game, instead of the bastardized FPS Bethesda turned the franchise into.

Then again, Wasteland is probably just going to end up turning into the "proper" Fallout franchise anyhow. It was Fallout before Fallout, so I guess it only makes sense.

Bought this yesterday and anxious to play, but I'm heading back to Cape Town end of month so don't wanna dig in too much prior to that trip. Think I'll hold off a month and play when I get back and have time to devote to it - plus, hopefully by then some of the niggling bugs etc will be worked out. Win/Win
