also hodj what was the name of your radroach cheat stealth item? was it chameleon or something else? I don't have any invisible pipboy issues with it (it doesn't make my char invisible at all)
It was a chameleon like harness something. Its sitting in a trunk somewhere now since it was starting to fall behind on defense and only made me stealth when I stood still.

The invisible pipboy issues might be related to me making my hud color blue. I dunno.

My laptop came out in 2010 and it runs this game on high. Windows 10 just might be the greatest thing to happen to me in a while.

Just spent about an hour testing spawn rates, loot drop and legendary mechanics in
super duper mart, lexington
.

The indoor area has 24 ghouls in fixed spawn locations. I almost always saw 3 legendaries spawned within them. The legendaries seemed to be able to spawn anywhere, but I didn't explicitly track which places they did and didn't spawn at.
Well, fuck. I already cleared that place out and didn't get a single legendary.

(And yes, I'm playing on Survival.)

I'm shocked that no one who worked on the game realized how silly the encumbrance system is now that they made everything worth picking up. Did the play testers enjoy porting back to their base every 5 minutes?

You crazy, sir. 'Mouseover' containers is the single best improvement they made in FO4. Unfortunately, removing the ability to see the stats on an item prior to looting it almost entirely offsets the QOL gains there.

Can't have a Bethesda game without all sorts of two steps forward, one step back design I guess.

And yeah, repair is gone. Except for power armor parts, and I'm still not entirely clear on how you repair that. I have always hated power armor though, and don't have any intention of using the new and improved version either.
You use the Power Armor station to repair it. If you click on Use it'll take you to the same sort of Armor / Weapon screen and you can then repair with T I think it is, it costs Steel. When I repaired a bunch of Raider power armor stuff it cost 2-3 pieces of Steel each.

weird. I cleared it 10+ times and never got less than two. Better double check your settings lol.

Serious question. Is this worth grabbing if I didn't play FO3, and hated Skyrim's combat? I mean obviously there's a lot of game here, I'm just not completely sure it's for me.

Well, its a shooter, not a sword and board and magic game, so the combat is radically different, and the setting is radically different.

Otherwise, it is a Bethesda game in all other regards.

Honestly of you haven't played them yet just hold off, grab new Vegas and check it out. I wouldn't rush into this one quite yet.

I have it waiting for me now at home on my PS4.

I can't wait until I figure out I need to update the game for 5 hours and play Rocket League though. I hope the damn patch isn't 50 gig.

The annoying part is that he hasn't provided any proof at all that that happens, but now I'm paranoid and I'm breaking down everything made of more than one material by hand. Last thing I'd want to have happen is to break down something with screws in it for some really common shit that the item happens to also be made of.

Speaking of scrapping... Anyone with 5+ tried out Scrapper perk yet? I'm having doubts about whether or not the perk will actually be needed. Stuff like screws are pretty uncommon, but not to the point that I feel like it would be worth giving up 2 perks just to get more. Plus there's the loss of caps involved in scrapping guns instead of selling them. Is it actually worth lugging back every shitty pipe gun that a raider drops just to break them down into screws, copper, etc.?
With Level 1 Scrapper just about everything gives 1-3x Screws, 1-3x Aluminum, and Copper in some varying amount. I think it depends on the mods and tier of the item. Screws are by far my lowest resource so I'm glad to have an income.

Trying to find an item to build that will auto salvage and show me what it used. It used to do it all the time but now it is just taking it from stock I guess. If I can find something to build then it should be easy to test the way it is working.

Really wish there was a way to know which mods you had already. While in the crafting screen I mean.

It's definitely on survival, just double checked. I knew that the game didn't ask when you started a new game and that was the very first thing I changed.

I've only gotten two legendary spawns so far, radroach and bloatfly. I didn't get a legendary ghoul outside Concord either.

Guess I'll take it to rank 1 then, since I'm going to have 5 IN after the bobblehead and I hate the idea of having wasted a point in IN if I don't take it. I don't really see myself needing anything from rank 2, since that's mostly Science-related mats. As long as I can find at least one of the scopes that take both Gun Nut and Science to build, I'll be ok without ever taking Science either. Night Vision scope is LOL considering FO4 nights are about 50x brighter than Nevada Skies mod for New Vegas and I think that's the only other Science item relevant to normal guns. Settlements will have to make due with MG and shotgun turrets instead of lasers.

I guess you could go to a new settlement or one you've never really used, and bring an item that is steel+x+y, then make a fence and see if the x+y items get lost in the process.

I'm getting the legendary spawns all over, especially the further south and east you go from the initial area.

Wow my Samsung Galaxy S6 won't fit in my Pipboy, 1.4mm too tall...
Well that sucks almost as much as the fact that my shitty Windows phone is incompatible with the Pip-Boy app because apparently the app needs 1gb of memory to work.

The only thing I'm hating is the issue with scrapping, having to throw all the shit down and scrap it is just much more useful than doing it at a bench + you can scrap certain armors that you can't even at a bench (well, unless you can later..)

I'm having a goddamn blast though
