I just hope Goggins is a somewhat of a 4th wall breaking character, not in the literal sense, but in the sense he sees the absurdity of shit. LIke when I watched that dude Power Armor hover at like 1.5 mph over I was hoping Goggins would have a zinger about that. Hopefully they point out the ridiculousness of it rather than just try to have us accept that these dudes in 800lb armor suits that can't move are the scariest thing around.
Then again, I'm 90% sure we'll get a Deathclaw destroying some armor bros so that would be a good way to point it out.

Key question is: which Fallout?
Fall out 3 won't be viable. What would make it interesting would just be the lore, but the gameworld is just small towns and places that wouldn't weave into a cohesive narrative. The main story would just be boring.
New Vegas might be better. A few factions and different people to make for story arcs, and the story is of the area. I understand it will be a new story though, not as immersive as the games but, because it can't include the exploring and looting we do in the games.
Key is not to compare it to any one Fallout game.

It's been stated that the show is 'canonical', taking place after the existing games:
Fallout 3 - 2277
New Vegas - 2281
Fallout 4 - 2287
TV Show - 2296
We'll see if that's still the case whenever Fallout 5 is released, but there were a lot of side mentions about ecological collapse headed to California in the New Vegas side quests, as Brahmin and agriculture are over-processing the limited crop land California has available. Take a Dust bowl, add in the some of the Fallout 4 BoS returning from the East Coast and stopping the NCR from using things like GECKs to fix that, and you could get outright war conditions between the two sides again without definitively saying who won New Vegas or Fallout 4.
Be careful with your Youtubes, as people have already freeze framed through the costume changes in the trailers to piece together the overall timeline, like

Whenever Fallout 5 comes out, the show still might not impact them that much if they don't set it on the west coast. They could reference things, but if Fallout 5 happens in New Orleans or Miami or New York or Chicago or whatever, then stuff in Cali doesn't mean too much beyond little plot points

I got a 24inch TV and a 20 inch Vizio soundbar mounted under it on a swivel arm at the top of my bed for watching the security cams, weather and whatnot. Going to turn sound up swivel it out over my face and sleep watch the first pass so it blends with my dream state.
Just kidding, that will be my 2nd pass.
