Sounds like me and Kain pulls. I've got 10 in my box in case I ever need a pair of spears and feel like taking the time to rush them five at a time, and I've also merged like 5 or 6 more into the one that I actually leveled up.

Still only one Xiao though. I keep getting Anzelm and Galuf from the free daily pull, it's maddening.

Just to nitpick, but Forest Killer (at 6*) includes the extra stacking 75% bug/bird/plant. All of his killers go to 125% at 6*! Firion

Minor nitpick again, but Divider is 1.8x with 50% def ignore, which normalizes at 3.6 mod, not 2.7 (exponential increase as def ignore rises and all that), and goes to 5.7 after enhancements (2x w/ 65% ignore). Formula

Ah right, I got looking at the enhancement for legend kill because I couldn't remember what the last added one (spirit) was and forgot he had a second 6* killer for bug/bird/plant.

And yeah, dumb math error there. Multiplied by 1.5 instead of dividing by 0.5. So that puts Firion at 19.2x and Gilgamesh at 28.8x at the end of a chain, assuming you time it right and land both hits at max chain, which isn't too hard because both of them hit pretty fast. Before killers, elements, etc. too.

You've been playing JP, how do enhance materials work anyway? I remember reading a long time ago that the gil cost (and other mats) was a complete non-issue compared to the rarity of 神晶石. Still true?

I know the enhancement materials are "rare" when they come out, but I don't know the specifics. Can you give some insight on how often we can expect to upgrade a unit with enhancements? One unit per event? Per month?

You farm enhance mats from one of three 15 energy desire vortexes, depending on which color you want. Some enhancements are super cheap, I enhanced Agrias' full break once and the material cost was insignificant. There are two caps for enhancing the major abilities though, T4 stones and T5. T4 stones are a soft cap, they drop in the vortexes and are extremely rare. T5 stones are a hard cap, you get 2 of each color per month from an event, this month it was the Ayaka/Gouken event. You could get another one of each color from the Kingsglaive event, but each one was 100k raid currency so not realistic for anyone but whales. I actually have enough red T4s to +2 holy explosion if I wanted, but I only have half the T5s I need. I'm waiting to see how things shake out with my roster before I commit to any enhancements, and I don't want to invest too much more energy into farming stones until I have my raven's mantle.

And yes, it turns out the gil cost is largely irrelevant. I have just over 10m gil on my GL account. I've been playing on JP for a month now and yesterday I passed up my GL account in gil.

For serious though, sounds like I won't be going wild with enhancements the way I thought. I guess maybe my Dark Cecil is still the best upgrade for my first enhancement, but really depends what my team looks like when they roll around.

Heh yeah, I'm pretty sure that's the one I fought before too. I went first so it was a win, but I made a note to never risk it again.

Btw, I'd put "r/ffbe" in your message. Even if you don't actually frequent the reddit sub much, there are people you may have on your friend list who will remove friends who don't have the tag before ones that do when they clean house.

The "Active Player" bit in comments is something I always find slightly amusing. Lots of people I remove from my friends list after they haven't logged in for 10+ days have that in their comment. It's not like someone who quits the game updates their comment beforehand :)

Lol yeah. Not sure why I put that in there. Was half asleep and copied someone else thinking it was good idea.
My main party is pretty retarded in this game. Holding off on doing some heavy pulls until the next good banner.

I've only lost two Arena fights this week. One was my mistake (going in with 4 characters...) and another was that Noctis team who I beat when I decided to fight him again after that loss.

You can lock arena, companion, and colosseum groups if you go into menu -> option -> scroll to the bottom -> select party and setup groups however you like. This keeps me from going retard, and also makes me not look dumb for having a level 21 Ramza selected as companion.

Well, I got tier 1 for arena monthly rewards, so 2 trust moogles incoming. That's probably going to be my last tier 1 monthly reward though. Waking up to spend arena orbs is for the birds. Going to gladly accept my tier 2 rewards while I sleep a full 8 hours from here on out!

Oh and to clarify, post-enhancement Randi is god tier even without DH stacking because even on JP, dual wield is just as good as DH on him.

So is Randi worth pulling welfare dailies on for F2P player? Or are is his enhancements so far away we'll probably get another banner with him on it before that?

Edit: Just saw the SoM event is a character bonus one, so dailies are probably worth it just to farm faster.
