No white magic on elt is giving me gray hairs

Leveled up Ling and Primm, i dont have luka nor Tillith.

Cecil to tank. Escape so i can skip trash. Only casting provoke or focus on boss
Ling, aoe res, aoe cure, aoe give mana, aoe debuff captain (2nd most broken char in game i thinks)
2 poorly equipped exdeaths. Meteor, firaga, osmosis
Companion Emperor, firaga or fire from below

Somehow im not getting credit for no white magic and i cant figure out why

Are you using Ring of the Lucio? Holy counter is counted as white magic.

If you need I can toss a Luka up with some TM (Just finished Marie's!)

I doubt it. Maaaaaaybe if you can find an 800+ emperor to carry you, but without a tank it's a tall order to keep everyone alive long enough. I'm nowhere near pulling it off on any of my alts.
K I thought this was the case. I went in and killed a couple of trash mobs but it was a struggle leaving me with almost no MP and I am not going to just burn through consumables to get to the boss and fail.

By the way I am working on Rain, awakened him to 5* and leveling him to go 6*. I would assume that's my best for that spot right now.

Is Orlandu so OP that one would want to run multiple Orlandu's in your party?

I tried ELT last night on dreadnought. Fucking was too busy buffing and what not to 1 shot the mines as my damage is abit low outside of a semi decent Emp...needless to say I went boom~ Figured i'd wait until the last day to waste stam, it says 3/3 so hopefully that holds true. Sure wish they had a fucking 6 star farming place at least once a week or something, shit ton of mats you need to have it all locked behind events and packages. Sitting on ExD, Marie, Dark F that would all love to come join the party maxed at 80 5 stars.

You need a light weapon for each Orlandu, but yes, barring a fight having unusual requirements or light resistance, you would always run 2-3 Orlandu for DPS if you had them. Outside of Excalibur, there is a crappy light damage greatsword from the volcano exploration in Zoldaad, and the next piece of story will have a new star quartz vendor with a light damage spear.

What's the plan? Roll alt accounts for Orlandu, sell them and Full the money into an Orlandu on your main?

The plan is to dump all the tickets I've been hoarding on my alts on the Orlandu banner, sell the ones who pull Orlandu, and probably abandon the ones that don't pull him. Or if its only like 1/2 accounts left, it might lessen the tedium enough that I would just start the hoarding process over again in preparation for Tidus.

The money will probably go back into FFBE, yeah.

Ok thanks, sorry still trying to catch on to all the mechanics and what not....as far as a need for light weapons is that so they can elemental chain against each other for max damage or?

Since Divine Ruination is a 7-hit attack you always want at least two Orlandus. Unless you're completely insane you'd generally stick with one of your own and one from a whale friend though.

You'll need a finisher of your own, since setting up Firion or Gilgamesh for light damage means a sub-optimal build that a friend would be unlikely to run (at least until we get greatsword mastery for GL).

Edit: Yeah, elemental damage to chain off of, specifically light because of his debuff. The difference between Orlandu and Edgar/Chizuru is that Orlandu deals a lot of damage while building the chain in addition to the finisher. Edgar's chain is negligible damage, and Chizuru isn't terribly significant either.

To expand a bit, Holy Explosion/Divine Ruination applies -50% to the targets light resistance. This translates into a fuckton of extra light damage dealt. The attack itself is just physical damage, which is why you need a light elemental weapon for him. Going forward the standard for physical damage will be to imperil an element and then chain with elemental weapons of the element in question. While Orlandu is not the first unit with a strong imperil effect, he is the first one that is a top tier damage dealer on top of his imperil.

As for a finisher, 'need' is a pretty damn strong word to use. You really don't 'need' a finisher when you're chaining Orlandu. Shit already hits like a freight train.

Where does Amelia Rank? Is she up there with Orlando?

Really don't want an old man in Waifu party.

Heh, no. She's ok at building chains but she doesn't do shit for damage. Amelia is for arena.

Nobody will be 'up there' with Orlandu until OK or DV, and Orlandu is still better. Enhanced Eileen is the first unit to surpass Orlandu at the imperil-chaining role.

Pre-enhancement Eileen is ok, but the DW gap tends to break her chains. Tidus has the same problem both pre and post enhancements.

Ok that makes sense thanks. For DW folks, do you just need 1 of 2 weapons with the ele to make all their attacks include the element in question? Also on the idea of "finishers" those are meant to be someone with a really high damage modifier not neccassary a lot of individual attack hits just to take advantage of the chain bonuses or? If so would the best way to make Olive an effective finisher for instance be if she has her TM and you are finishing off say a noct X 2 or Lightning X 2 ability chain w/ lightning debuffed? Does that give Marie any use having a DC , decent team buffs and an ability with full ele 40% debuff mixed? Or is her TM the only thing good about her outside of real nitch fights.

Dualwielding elemental weapons makes both hands share the elements.

Finishers are typically high damage moves that are single hit, like Gilgamesh's Divider.

Still a few hours away from knowing how to use Olive.

Marie is really only for trial fights. There's better options if you just want a strong imperil.
