Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius

Cloud of Darkness, Mercedes, Bartz, and Firion all have a decent single hit, high modifier finisher skill that aren't base 5*. There may be more that I'm not thinking of, though your best option is likely a whaled friend for that role.

So thinking of my Gilgamesh trial team some more, I decided I'm just going to leave my own Noctis home and take a friend Noctis, since I only have access to 1 source of dualwield, and it's going to be smoother to use that for element sealing (going to use Gilgamesh w/ Trident, Chirijaeden, WindSlash). Handling all the needed roles with only 5 team members is rough.

Hopefully one of you whale'ish types have a Noctis up on trial day with Deathbringer, Diabolos, and Man-eater materia that I can bring.

I'll have my own Noctis setup with the above once I'm done with the trial.

I hate the health rates on Queen's gate of destiny; it puts her at 34% health so it doesn't trigger berserk (when she is DW'ing it) so you can't setup next attack for a big hit. Glad I got her on the first time, she seems extremely lack luster.

Yep. She is trash. I'd rather pull Ace as he at least is useful for the latest trial in JP.

It's hilarious watching reddit try and justify her.

I don't have deathbringer yet, but I'm working on it...

ugh I'm at 30% on Agrias for her TM, but I think I should focus on something else (since I've got Excalibur and now Deathbringer on the way).
Any recommendations? Currently doing double Xaio (for one fist, almost done), Shine, DKCecil, and Agrias. Xaio should be done in a day or two, and I can sub Agrias out.

I'm not sure what else I can kit onto my Noctis. (Already have Power of Creation, Blade Mastery, and working on Shine's, last slot is usually atk15% that swaps for relevant killer passive). Could do another Shine. I think next I'll focus on Gilg since I have a Leon, Miyuki, and Chizuru I can start working on for him (with another shine, that should kit up nicely). Best sword is Enhancer, though I'll get the sword from this event soon.

For some reason I always shelve Save the Queen, I've had an Agrias at like 50% for so long and a few more just sitting there, but I never finish it. It's a great weapon, especially for arena, but I always wind up doing something else.

Should I level my 2nd Gilgamesh/Olive? I know these are mostly finisher units, but Gilga can at least chain Tri-Attack? I don't have any units I currently want to level aside from those, but not sure it's worth it.

I leveled my second Gilga (and maxed his TM already), but I just don't have equipment to use him.

Yea I have his TM maxed (no branier) and I could gear him pretty well so perhaps it's worth it.

I don't think I'll be able to 5-man the Gilgamesh Trial anytime soon. I still rely too heavily on whale friends for some of the tougher content. I prioritized Blade Mastery over a 3rd DW... maybe I should not have so I could have a decent ATK finisher. I'm still a ways out to finishing a Bracer and Blade Mastery so I think I will wait a while on this trial. I might be begging for a specialty whale unit to try it out sometime later.

You can drop a party member and use a companion... it's how I always do it.

So abit scared on NOX when it crashed with macro's. As suggested I have nothing on my primary page's desktop but when the macro crashes it always finds a way to pull something up. I have amazon require a PW for any purchases and I have never logged into anything else on NOX that I can recall so I "should" be safe on any chance of accidently purchases of something but still puzzled as to what is happening for it to bring up anything. My only possible guess is it hits the "G" button on the google search bar up top and pulls up one of the items that pulls up which seems random (ive had amazon come up, youtube, and ebay when I found it crashed). If that's the case is there a way to move/hide that damn bar? Never had an android phone before.

Nox has that builtin advertisement bar at the bottom, which is incredibly annoying. To get rid of it, you have to install a custom launcher (I use Nova Launcher). Once you install the new launcher, you have to turn on root mode and go into the files and manually get rid of the default launcher. Then you can truly remove everything from the Nox desktop except FFBE, so nothing will ever accidentally open.

You can always try Memu if you don't want to go through all that. Memu runs better for me personally, and after the last update it runs better than ever.

Ok thanks, i'll try Memu this weekend. I need something to be able to run through consistently when I do want to burn a little lapis. I just bought a fairly nice computer in the last 3 months ($2k+) that runs like a beast so i'd hope it wasn't a direct performance issue but who the fuck knows with technology compatability these days.

Need to wrap up my melee TM's soon, I have a batch of mage ones I want to get rolling on abit that will be huge ass power spikes (2 emp TM's, Dark F TM, and probably 2 Marie robe's for some decent ele resists and stats). I want to see a nice DW Emp with mainly BiS hit a 2000% modified fire from below! Assuming that is the strongest single hit in the game in GL no? (if there is any upcoming boss that you would get that high on; seems like a perfect damage character for turtle comps with low mana usage and big boy damage once it starts getting past the 800% range)

Sinzar/Twilight/any smart folk! - What key things am I missing from the below team from a good all around versitle team for hard fights that isn't chain based.

Tank - Cecil (heals/cover/provoke)
DPS1 - Olive (fire,lightning, def debuff, big damage)
DPS2 - Emp (sustained damage on fire from below low mana on -50% fire debuff from olive)
Healer - Refia (double full rezzes/heals, decent attack/def buff)
Misc - Noct (mana regen, 2nd rezzer, mag/spirit breaker, decent damage

Emp is good but a better physical dps'er would fill in much more nicely. You're also splitting your damage between Magic and Physical, which means you want not only +MAG but +ATK from buffs. Ideally you stack one or the other.

Noctis's best attack is warp break, which is an ATK/DEF debuff, so he can actually help with that (instead of doing the mag/spirit break). Do you have Gilgamesh, or Firion, or Chizuru? Having a the MAG debuff is good to reduce incoming damage, but you can use noctis for that (fuck spirit debuffing, you should focus on physical atk).

Get doublecast on Refia (and on Cecil if you can).

I'm running Cecil/Refia/Gilgamesh/Noctis/open-sub. Usually it's CoD for her utility (because I didn't get a Ling), but sometimes it's 2nd Gilg, Chizuru, Snow, Rain, or Exdeath. Just depends on the fight. I know the Greg-trial will be hard, but I haven't run into much where that party wasn't up to snuff.

I'd use M.fina if you have her over Emp.

I have 2 chiz's I just got maxxed to 100, need a few TM's to get the 2nd one where she needs to be (DW, BM, Black Cowl all being worked on at the moment for TM's). Was just looking at a non chain team setup for fights that might actually require a lot of divesty/long fight where you couldn't have 3 people doing the same thing (damage) every time thus the addition of emp for sustained damage with low mana but I see your point. Nada on Gilamesh/Noct (will 100% spend for him come banner if he makes it). I have Firion but haven't put anything into him since I have Olive for a finisher. Also have Luneth at max now I think for another decent physical.

Refia has DC, maybe when I do my round of caster TM's i'll put a 2nd DC in instead of 1 of the 2 marie robes I was going to do.

I have her, with no good mana regen outside of friend noct's in a long fight can she keep up with sustained damage from emp? Haven't really seen anything in the short time I've been playing that was that long of a fight where emp even got to shine but seems like Dark F DC'ing ultimate's makes her run out of mana pretty fast.

I really hope this Gilgamesh trial is as cutting edge as everyone is making it sound, because until this point, everything in game is trivialized by one single whale'ed dps unit, whether it's your own or a friends.

If Gilgamesh truly is "an hour+ long marathon fight" like JP players say, then Emperor (along with Olives -50% fire debuff) will actually be insanely good, dealing 3000% damage per round for free (he out-regens the cost), assuming he doesn't die to AoE damage because mage. If the people on reddit are full of shit and Gilgamesh dies in 5 rounds to whaled dps like all content so far, then team comp will matter a lot less.

The team you listed is very good for a long battle, though it has no good mana regen aside from Noctis friend. For a short battle, something bursty like 2x Chizuru + Olive finisher with Tank and Healer is likely better.

I guess a better answer to your question would be: Ask again in 2 days after Gilgamesh trial so we can get a feel for how the global meta will be changing (or staying the same... hope not).

There are VERY few fights where you need that sustain right now. And when you do you aren't going to be using stacking magic. In those fights there is a VERY real chance that your mages will die which will reset the stacks.

The only endurance fight I've seen where AoE magic is used is the new trial in JP... and stacking magic is useless there due to the amount of deaths which will occur.
