Yeah, I feel the same way. I've got macros working again with Memu but with the way events are pretty much constant now, when the fuck am I supposed to be able to farm TMs? All the top TM units except Chizuru and maybe a couple others are garbage in actual content so the most I can do is set the macro to run for 2-3 hours while I'm sleeping. Any longer than that and it eats into the NRG I use in the morning to farm the event. Even with 2 moogles my Zidane is still <30% done.

I'm really sick of the assholes on reddit who defend TMs as being "purely optional stuff that nobody needs anyway" too.

I'll get them sooner or later, and I'll be glad to have good TMs banked if they ever get around to making TM gains less stupid. I mean the odds of pulling a playable unit are pretty damn low, but I'd much rather at least pull one with a usable TM over another Fran or Clyne.

New banner's up. Did a daily pull, got 3* Shadow, which trolled me just enough to pull again out of annoyance. Ticket pull gave me a gold crystal, which held.... Vivi. Anger level escalated, so I pulled again (always a good idea) and got another gold crystal. This time, I got Agrias, so it was worth it.

Now that I have a full-breaker, I guess my core team is mostly set until a good tank banner (aka, Cecil). I'm now using: Bartz, Cloud of Darkness, Agrias, Locke, and Lenna.

Locke may seem out of place in my lineup, but he has a natural 4 hit count, and with the barrage materia I gave him and the shining splendor sword, he has 16x chances to proc blind per round (which means it's almost always up), and it's been helpful in the upper ranks of arena. That, and the only other physical unit I have that is probably more damage is Lasswell anyway. I'm still sitting on a big hoarde of lapis and tickets waiting for a stronger banner.

I forget how terrible this game's Gacha system is compared to Record Keeper's. 11 pulls and I got 2 Mustadios. The rest were a combination of Edgars, Vivis, Bediles, Clynes and Russells. It's a good thing I got lucky with good units early on or I'd have quit long ago I think.

Finally caught a break from the daily pull and got a gold crystal that actually contained Agrias this morning. She seems like a no-brainer replacement for Vaan in pure phys teams.

Re: upper ranks of colosseum, the thing helping me the most is that I managed to get my Tellah locked into a RNG seed that makes him cast Recall->Death with 100% success on turn 1. I'm really not sure how it works; I've changed almost everything (because I drop Kefka for Terra when a boss is weak to fire, and that means shuffling a bunch of gear around too) except for his position in the line-up (slot#2) and he still does it every time. Doesn't work on bosses, but I've yet to run into a ADV boss that survives more than 2 turns anyway.

1/2 price summon... Shantotto #3... ok? Summon ticket: 4* Agrias... which replaces my Vaan from Monday, I guess? Time to buy Agrias's skill or something?

Agrias only replaces Vaan for phys teams. When you're using your Exdeaths, etc. Vaan is still superior because of Focus.

At 2k, I guess the skill is worth getting even if it is pretty situational (and once the next island hits you'll load up every phys unit with ATK+10% material just like you do now with MAG on mages). I got a second Exdeath from a ticket pull this morning though, so getting 8k for a set of 6* mats is going to still take priority imo.

I'll be replacing WoL with Agrias if I pull her. Did 2 tickets today but won't do anything else but welfare pulls for the reset of the week, so 6 more shots.

I'm running a physical team for grinding right now with Exdeath just for leveling his LB.

Firion/WoL/Lenna/Artemios/<Spare Slot>Exdeath is what it looks like. I think I can probably put Agrias in that spare slot. My "all mage team" is Exdeath/Exdeath/Shantotto/Shantotto/Vivi, so not great.

Yeah, Agrias would work fine there. She's got the same Bladeblitz as Firion for AE, and her own Barrage-ish equivalent for ST. For your mage team, just drop a Shantotto for Vaan. My current dilemma is whether to keep working on Sakurafubuki TM or drop Miyuki from the group and replace her with Agrias. 14 extra ATK on Save the Queen is a pretty huge difference, but it's not a katana which means whoever gets Blade Mastery has to use Chirijiraden.

Just noticed that Agrias is a pain in the ass to take to 5*. 15 sacreds and 8 holys can suck it. I used up all my mats leveling Kefka#2 and Terra to max at the start of the event so once she hits 60 I'm SOL.

We eventually get a free katana from the gilgamesh trial that's 107 atk. Still a ways off, but long term, I think save the queen will be more useful.

Edit: Well, there's a 125 atk greatsword from an event too, so I guess it more depends how many and what type of weapons your team needs.

Blade mastery does affect both hands while dual wielding right? So like Save the Queen in main hand and Chirijiraden in offhand would still give the BM bonus to StQ? If so, that works out better than Enhancer+Sakurafubuki and the choice is easy.

The way I understand it, weapon bonus passives work on both hands, but don't stack (as in, using two katana's won't double up on the bonuses).

Not really relevant to your specific setup, but different weapon bonuses do stack while dual wielding (and apply to both hands). For example, Firion 6* with dual wield + blade mastery materia's using an axe and a katana would get +80% atk to both hands.

Not that it makes it any less overwhelming to see 2x Agrias, 2x Locke, 2x Mustadio, 4x Kain, 4x Ludmille, 5x Kefka, 2x Shantotto, Chiruzu, Zidane, Luna, Terra, Lenna, 3x Alma, etc. in my box...

Colosseum ADV A-3 boss (Monster Effigy) is no joke... I would definitely have lost if I hadn't remembered to equip Stone Killer on Lightning before starting the fight. Turn 1 was Full Break (partial resist), Crushing Blow, 3x Thundaga, then it killed all 3 mages at once and I had to finish it with just Lightning Blitz.

Did one more pull on the daily banner, got Galuf. I didn't have him yet, but he's useless anyway, so bleh.

I got all the tickets, quartz, items, and 8,000 spare auracite from this event. I'm going to buy 6* materials for CoD (his promo comes soon'ish) and I think I'm going to just farm trust mastery in earthshrine for the rest of the week. All my espers are already r2 lvl 40, so I don't really need megacite from the exploration, and I'm rank 72, which is good enough to only lose minimal amounts of energy while sleeping (or none if I TM farm overnight).

i've been basically blindly nexting through the game, doing the daily 250 pull and leveling up characters.

Alma 38/60 (recently ditches Fina lvl 80, she dies way too often)
Delita 80
Exdeath 80
Garland 80

Celes is my only other 5 star, so not really much room to adjust my team

i've got 5 espers, but most only have half their equipment slots filled. i assume this is why i get smashed at the elite level of the Tatics vortex, Pro i come out by the skin of my teeth. I don't have a single item to awaken Delita to 6 stars, so assume these come from the elite.

is there a decent list of what equipment i could get? i've basically skipped through most towns and haven't picked up hardly any recopies.
