I actually need to farm a crap load of Farplane Souls. I used a ton on MAG and DEF materias. Just not enough time still while I'm farming the Halloween event. But the ATK materia is still a month away with the second half of the island.

For anyone looking for a macro that works well for LBs as well as TMs: here
I grabbed the one called "TM+LB Farm, Earth Shrine Exit" and it's working perfectly so far (most of the last 24h). It takes a bit longer to run, but the LBs go off nearly 100% of the time. Be aware that if you set the delay to 0 to burn off excess energy and forget about it, it *will* refill with lapis. Set it to like 200-210 and you don't have to worry about it.

The Wizard Rod trial wasn't as bad as I was expecting. Beat it on the first try. I went with:
Cecil (tanking, heals)
Kain (jump dps)
Agrias (fullbreak)
Lenna (heals, cheer)
Kefka (dps, but mostly item support)
Lightning friend (dps)
Video of my kill:
Cactuar died to void vessel in one turn
Bombs died to Kefka + Lightning ice aoe in one turn
Robots took a few rounds to kill, but if you kill the small robot, the big one is way less dangerous
Kraken died in two turns to lightning aoe
Demon took a few turns, and did a ton of aoe damage, but Lenna + Cecil healing topped off the team every round, which let me whittle him down

Beat on first try with Lightning x2, Tellah, Kefka x2, Exdeath. Don't recommend trying it healerless. Only reason I won was because the Lightning friend had 640 ATK and dual Excaliburs. I had to burn a phoenix down because the robots didn't die in 1 turn as I expected them to. Definitely buffed compared to JP.
Edit: I forgot to mention this, but since they buffed the whole trial for GL that means the cactuar has more then 2000 hp and weak consumables aren't going to work. It took one void vessel and the Lightnings autoattacks to kill it.

Not sure, the new continent is pretty cheap in NRG cost so it's possible that one of those explores will be better. They are 10 NRG for 4 resource spots, compared to 8 NRG for 3 spots in Phantom Forest. At least one of them probably has a color more useful than green too.

Depending on your feelings about spending real money on mobile games, the magicite bundles on the shop are pretty good value for 1$ each, assuming they offer the matching color to the esper you're leveling. For 3-5$ you can get an esper to rank 2 and then some.
For grinding, Phantom forest is still best I think, especially because it also has a nice amount of rare crafting materials you can get from the zone like elemental tears, and evo materials like sacred crystals from the end boss.

I beat the Demon Trial. It's a long fight but it wasn't too bad. I only lost one unit on the actual Greater Demon but my 592 Attack Lightning friend made the whole thing pretty trivial being able to do massive chains.

The demon is really the easiest part, provided you have solid dps. I should probably have gotten a game over for being an idiot and going in with 2 Lightnings/4 Mages but as long as you trigger graviga each round vs. the demon he cannot actually kill anyone. It made me nervous seeing everyone with 300-800 hp but I just had to resist the temptation to heal and keep up the Crushing Blow/Thundaga spam instead. Kefka LBs were quite useful too, since he clears all debuffs each time he uses graviga.

I went through 2 phoenix downs because I wasn't expecting the bomb fragments to fail to off the gigantaur, and since I didn't anticipate needing them I didn't bring mega ethers, so I had to get through with 5 turbo ethers which left me coasting on fumes near the end of the demon fight, but I brought him down with Cecil, Lenna, Butts, BC Lid, and Exudesu. Yes, I totally forgot to bring WoL because I've been so used to full break resisted lately that I didn't even think about it, made the fight quite a bit harder. Was really wishing I'd brought Rosa instead, but if I'd remembered full break I probably wouldn't have gone through so much mana.

Pro mode pumpkin king is out. It's more efficient to farm him (2250 corn per 20 energy). If you can bring a strong Lightning friend, he can be 2 rounded just like adv version. Just make sure the Lightning is using Excalibur, and does not have chirijaeden equipped (this one is fire resistant, but still has holy weakness).
I think for the next week until this event is over, I'm just gonna do pro king 3x per day for the vortex daily quest, and I will in fact buy the 30k trust moogle. It's still a loss overall on energy vs TM gained, but it should be nice to pump a strong TM down the road, or maybe finish an excalibur early or something.
