When I saw Fina morph into Dark Fina and kick Veritas's ass, I got excited maybe she was going to join the team. Ridiculous idea, since she's a premier 5* base summon soon, but hey, it was a nice thought!

Wow, this weeks arena rules are fucked. No healing, no status altering shit. Bonuses for already OP teams (exdeath *3 on mah 2nd fight fun)

Heh, nice rules this week in arena. No heals, no rez, no stat buffs or debuffs.

I just fought that 3x 6* Exdeath team too. He went first and they all just autoattacked... lol.

So much for staying in the top 10k this week lol. My team just can't handle this kind of shake up. Wish I had 4 arcs leveled or something.

I'm expecting the Petrify staff to carry me through it. I'm trying to think of the best way to set up an AE with as many hits as possible to maximize the chance of turning their whole team to stone. If only Lightning could equip staff.

Wow, I was going to easily get tier 2 rewards for monthly, but I don't have the lineup at all for this kind of arena rules. My strat is entirely turtle based with spending multiple turns osmosing the enemy team and slowly working them down. Maybe I can make something work with status effects, but no healing with 5* units sounds like a nightmare. Haven't actually had a chance to try it yet, so we'll see what happens.

I do plan to pull on tommorows banner, so maybe I'll get some Exdeath, but I don't have the sacred crystals to level them anyway.

It's not useless, it just doesn't chain for shit and that's all that matters in normal content as boss hp and def/spr just keep on rising. And I was mostly complaining that I had bothered to do a TM which is far lower priority than so many other things like ~120 ATK weapons, dual cast, etc.

Is Madness Rush banned because of the LB up effect?

Thinking about leveling Maxwell for this maybe? I have 5 arcs but my highest one is 4 * 49

Maxwell already 5* and gets a passive 1800 hp regen. Thoughts?

My current team is just near useless. Lightning still good (but no CB), Refia trash, Ignus = meh no breaks, BCL great for hex thank god, and my Ezla which is only 6 * 51 (good for lancing pretty much only this week)

Maxwell's actually not a bad idea! Mine's max level since I've been using her in all of my grind content (for her TM, but she leveled to 80 naturally during that anyway). Maxwell has an aoe attack that blinds + diseases, and like you said, she has massive regeneration. Think I may try her.

I'm thinking maybe Cecil (focus, and tankiness), Maxwell (genesis), CoD with a status weapon and sunbeam cheese, Tellah (dualcast with ultima and osmose), and maybe Bartz with his 5x barrage and a status weapon.

Assuming it's not banned, osmose is effectively a one shot kill on mages like exdeath, since it can drain them dry in one hit, which means all they do is auto-attack for 30 damage the rest of the match.

I'm going with an Edgar team I think.

Edgar x2 to set up the 400% damage chain, with materia I can get them both to approx. 3100 hp so they can survive decently.
Exdeath to dual cast Meteors.
CoD with dual wield rods and Sunbeam which also bypasses Cover and generally does 2x 999. On second thought, Lilith Rod + Thorned Mace is probably better than two rods.
Charlotte with Petrify staff and Barrage (really wish I had a Bladeblitz TM done, but I do not).

Edit: Stomped the first team I fought even though I have no idea how to correctly time Meteor and Sunbeam with Chainsaw yet.

Would take slightly less effort to level Maxwell, but even one Arc at 5*80 would make my team a lot better. 2 times Osmose, Elza lances, BCL hex - That's 4 units taken out on turn one if it goes right.

Bleh, can't decide. Sure, I'll hopefully pull an ExDeath this week, but even if I do, getting him to useful level is going to be difficult with no gigantaurs around.

Focus is banned too, so Cecil's almost entirely worthless in arena, I dropped him for BCLid. Hex strike is useful, and went 3/3 for stoning a target.

Luneth is going to be a huge pain in the ass with his innate status immunities. Going to avoid all teams with him if possible.

I've left Cecil in as a meatshield for now. near as I can tell demonic life still works, unless im remembering my last match wrong.

Goddamn, when I get the timing just right (which is unfortunately easier said than done) this is just obscene. Full 6* teams die in one turn, not even CoD survives. I've lost almost every coin toss so far too and have yet to lose an Edgar to it.
