Get stronger friends. If you don't have a companion who can solo the ochu, do maranda coast or dwarves forge instead. Maranda coast is faceroll easy and dwarves forge is only a tiny bit harder. The lower energy efficiency is generally made up for by the fact that you're farming hero rings mats at the same time.

So maybe a little status check. Started last week, and I just got to 3rd continent. I was pushing for this as the Kolo Marsh I guess is 2nd best exp per NRG out there? I wanted to get somewhere that was a good farming spot.

My 5* Luneth is level 73, rest of my team: Kefka, Lenna, Zidane, and Vaan are level 21. They get stomped pretty easily.

I didn't "complete" each stage, so I suppose going back and doing that would net out quite a bit of Lapis and experience, just wasn't sure if I'm supposed to be where I'm at, etc?

Super easy being relative. I just tried doing Kolobos Marsh, and got owned. I couldn't finish it. :)

And that's the issue, I pushed with continues, etc to finish the 2nd island, and get to 3rd island. So now I feel pretty underpowered, I feel that my Luneth is helping, but isn't carrying me for shit like Zyn's Exdeath is, shit that thing is beast, so to keep pushing would be tough. Where do I go back and farm some more to help this situation out?

Might spent some time doing Fulan Pass exploration or something to level up my guys.

The two main things that would make a difference is getting Luneth to 6* and dumping Zidane for Bartz. I'd level Faris before Vaan also. She's got Full Break and Focus just like he does, but her base ATK is higher and she learns Bladeblitz.

Right now you need levels more than anything. If the story content is getting too hard you may need to spend a day or two in the Experience Vortex. There are better options for experience later but right now it's probably your best experience for NRG option.

We're in the middle of a dry spell right now but on Friday we should get another grinding event where you can buy a bunch of metal cactaurs cheap. But you can still be productive in the meantime hitting the experience vortex for now.

Never ever use continues. Waste of Lapis. (ok I've done it once or twice in the early days on super difficult content for a noob, but don't do it)

oh i wasnt thinking about the fact that your luneth doesn't have DW yet. Fulan Pass is even worse than adv xp vortex, so I definitely wouldn't do that. Also, stop wasting your lapis on continues for story stuff.

791,675,201 is my friend code, my Elza can easily solo any exploration in Grandshelt or Dirnado. I recommend using my Elza (and other lvl 100 friend units) to powerlevel your Luneth to lvl 100, when we said Luneth could carry you through story mode we meant once he has dual wield. You should be able to use any lvl 100 physical dps friend to beat the trial of the intangir for you which will get you a top tier weapon for Luneth, and once he's 100 with that weapon and any offhand luneth should be able to solo the first farplane trial for a murasame offhand.

Once Luneth is 100 most of your troubles should vanish. I would get him to 100 before you bothered leveling up any of your other units.

Easily. People have done it with 5*'s even. You just have to be able to kill it in 2 turns, and it only has 230k hp.

Managed to pull my first rainbow crystal. Got a Russel for the daily, used a summon ticket and got another blue crystal... that turned into a gold crystal... that turned into a rainbow crystal... that turn into a gilgamesh!

Officially done with the banner now... 4x Exdeath, 2x Bartz, 1x Faris, 1x Gilg.

How do you power level when you can only use a friend 1 time? Or you mean power leveling in this game means doing some high experience thing 1 time per day?

No, it's a huge waste until your rank is much, much higher. Unless you're spending hundreds of dollars on the game there's still rarely a good reason to refill even at very high ranks.

Save lapis for doing daily pulls, 10+1 pulls on especially good banners, and specials like the cheaper Black Friday bundle (the 1200 lapis one sucks). You're going to at minimum need to expand unit, material, and equipment slots too.

Ok, the experience was bad ass, so I spent like 300 Lapis on refills, because my rank is so low, that I can't even do it twice before having to refill. lol...

But dang, so this is how you rank up your units. This isn't even the best, but it's freakin' good!
