Magus Sisters cid mission complete! It took me a few strategy changes to get one that worked, but figured it out after a while. I started off trying a plan of completely ignoring mitigation/heals, and just relying on luck to sleep all 3 enemies right away and go all out with a magic nuke team. Well, landing a 20% chance sleep on 3 targets at once is.... really low odds or something. After over 30 reloads, I realized how dumb it was to try a strat that relied on something like a 4% chance... that had to go off at least twice in a fight.
Ditching that idea, I instead figured why bother with sleep at all, and built a traditional team to just go man mode the fight. Well, it didn't take long to realize that was a horrible idea, since if you don't sleep at least one of them, they go power ranger mode and delta attack you into oblivion. So next up, I went back to the sleep idea, with modifications. Instead of going all out dps with sleep, I instead built a very tanky team, and just used sleep over and over, relying on only 2 dps (Lulu and Yuna) to carry the team while Rikku debuffed, Braska healed, and Paine tanked with drawfire/memento of protection. Well, that strategy worked... almost. With only two dps'ers, they ran out of hones with Cindy at ~15% life, and it fell apart from there.
Seeing how that strategy almost worked though, I ditched the idea of a tanky Paine (draw fire only works on like 1 or 2 skills + their autoattack anyway) and put Paine as a generic spellblade dps. With the extra help from Paine, it was enough to beat the fight without much issue. I will say my killing attempt I got kind of lucky since the small bee sister slept almost the entire encounter, and from previous attempts, I know that skank is by far their most deadly member of the trio.
Winning cid mission setup was:
Paine -- Thundaga Strike, Drain Strike -- shared shellga SB
Yuna -- Alexander, Maduin -- aoe nuke + resist SB
Lulu -- Waterja, Fireja -- no SB
Rikku -- Lullaby, Multibreak -- shared shellga SB
Braska -- Curaja, Protectga -- shared medica SB
Roaming: Sheepsong (+30% mag, haste, regen)
New hones required to beat this fight:
rank 0 -> 5 Lullaby
rank 1 -> 4 Alexander
rank 1 -> 2 Multibreak
I don't feel so bad about these new hones, since besides lullaby (which was cheap as shit) both of those skills are good long term investments.
