Apparently there are quite a few additional banners coming up:
- Debuff Lucky Draw
- Dungeon Update Draw
- Nightmare Draw
- Final Fantasy X
- All the coliseum draws

Think I'll stick to my guns and just do 1 more pull of FF12 for Ashe or Vaan, then save till FF3... if they deliver the 25 mythril I'll do the half off lucky draw.

I just checked my Japan account. To date there are still only the two shooter abilities that we just got. No new ones have been added.

Pulled Vaan's BSSB! Was hoping for Ashe so I could settle which 5* BLM to R3, but that is debateably the better draw, so I'm pretty happy at 0 mythril. Also pulled a 2nd Garland Armor and Ashe's SSB, nice but not too exciting.

I used the shooter skills in P2 coliseum... I mean they're great abilities, but i don't see why they couldn't just lump it with Machinist or something rather than create a whole new ability school for it.

Mastered the three ultimate FFX fights, with cid mission. First one wasn't very impressive.

Geosgaeno fight for the Cid Mission I used Paine, Braska, Lulu, Wakka, Yuna. Paine used Celes BSB as a RW, then just spammed the burst commands for ~20k damage per round. Braska and Lulu used chain fire/ice for 20k damage per round. Wakka did his debuffs then died like a bitch. Yuna healed a few times then joined Wakka in the afterlife. Overall the CM was very easy thanks to his multiple weaknesses. After seeing the fight, I should have brought a group hastega RM, which would have given Yuna the speed to keep up with healing, and would have prevented the deaths. Still, I'd rank this as one of the easier CM's.

Omega Weapon I thought was also one of the easier U++ battles (if you have access to stacking magic breaks). His damage is entirely magic or gravity. Instant death resist accessories heavily mitigates his gravity attacks, and I was able to stack up -170% magic breaks (-85% after boss resist) which was over the cap anyway. Having his magic broken all the way to the cap lowered his nukes to 300-700 damage each, which wasn't very threatening. That said, I noticed he had extreme speed, and even though his nukes were nerfed to small amounts, it still added up just due to sheer frequency. I can see this U++ being a nightmare for anyone who doesn't have access to multiple magic break SB's.

Setup I used for U++:
Cloud -- Waterga Strike, Lifesiphon -- Motorcycle BSB (pure damage)
Vaan -- Mug Bloodlust, Thiefs Revenge -- Ark Blast BSB (-40% mag/def)
Agrias -- Lifesiphon, Shellga -- Cleansing Strike SB (-50% atk/mag)
Ramza -- Power Breakdown, Fullbreak -- Shout (+50% atk, hastega)
Relm -- Curaja, Protectga -- Lakshimi SSB (medica + regen) -- Lionheart materia helps a ton on the healer due to constant aoe
Roaming: Wall

Wow didn't use any SBs on the CM. Saint Cross Paine and Chain Firaga Lulu fucked it up in 5 or 6 turns with 20k damage per turn. I wish I had a honed Sapphire Shot to annihilate it even more.

The ++ battle was close but I one shot it, I needed 3 magic blink casts and two AoE curagas. You could use two AoE heals instead and between Tyro Selection #1 and anniversary rewards we have two FF10 ones for 50 mithril.

Helps that it's the third FF10 CM so everyone is at 80 already.

First two colosseum battles I found to be faceroll easy. Tonights though with the kid synergy took me like 5 tries to actually win, and even on my win it felt close. I only have one "kid" unit with any relics (Relm), so that was part of it I'm sure. Looking back, I probably should have just built a normal team and ignored synergy bonus, which would have made things way easier, but at 60 energy entry fee, I wasn't about to actually give up and reform the team.

Mastered it with Gau and Rikku using burst commands from Celes BSB RW, along with Eiko doing summons, Palom using black magic, and Relm healing. Reddit said that the fight was almost entirely magic and you can ignore physical mitigation, which I did. Let me tell you, that's completely wrong. They physical hit way more than magic, and it hurts...

How is Tyro not considered a kid? Dude looks to be about 6 years old

Yeah, this one took me a few s/l's.

After using tyro in my lvling party to master his bsb I decided to just go ahead and replace setzer in my party with him which allowed me to replace redxiii with ramza since I was using him for protect/haste and I use shout rw and just try to burn everything down asap. Tyro's stats aren't that bad with sphere unlocks and being able to lvl him to 99 won't hurt either. Its nice to have him for any mastery condition you need and multi-break for all these damn fights we've been getting with multiple targets. Worst part about him actually is scrolling through all the abilities each time you want to equip something like multi-break.

Also just realized something yesterday that you more hc types have probably already been doing, but I started unequipping soul breaks on heroes that only have 1 soul break I'll be using. This puts the icon of the sb on your action bar so you don't have to go into a sub menu to select which soul break you want to use.

Yeah I do that. Ramza and Tyro keep 2 each though for situational use.

I had no relics from 8, only two armors from 5, and good 7 synergy, so I figured the lucky dungeon banner was a good investment.

Got 2 ancient weapons from 7 (sephiroth and barrets first relics), which I didn't need or want, and selphie's burst.

I guess I got a burst I didn't have, but I don't like sephie's burst at all. I guess if nothing else it can be used as a mage weapon in 8, so not a total loss. Overall, I wish I had my 25 mithril back.

Yeah, I may need to start showing restraint in lucky banners. My 5 and 7 synergy is already good, but I'm a sucker for half off pulls. Got a 2nd organics and 2nd red xiii's hairpin, bleh.

I got Red's new hairpin (+ATK/DEF/MND) and an old Yuffie relic (Pinwheel). The Red relic is interesting in that it's a unique buff ID, but my VII synergy is already stupidly good.

Did the pull with halloween mythril. Got Edea's SSB (Gives Imperil Dark) and Krile's old SB, pretty meh. Next pull: the FF3 for sure, OK's BSSB is just all kinds of OP.

Of course I went for the Lucky Draw - I'm catching up on stat sticks for V and VIII (finally!), but my soul breaks are lackluster. At 3/11 I got excited--a Galuf invuln relic (because running Cid Missions could be an option solo?), super old Aerith heal stick, and Barret's SSB bracer that is ATK/DEF break--only to add some miscellaneous stuff for the junk pile. It's the way of the lucky draw, ultimate gamble.

Once I saw that the Lucky Draw still included such winners as Buster Sword and Revolver I noped the fuck out. I'd rather put that 25 Mythril somewhere where it will do more good.

Goddammit I just made my first serious attempt at a 140-difficulty fight ever and would have easily won - had I not accidentally equipped Beatrix with my un-honed Shell. Made it past the adds, burned Seymour down, burned Anima down, burned Seymour halfway down again and then he blew me up with chain spells.

Beatrix - Shell, Lifesiphon, ssb
Selphie - Curaja, Protectga, ssb
Paine - water spellblade, saints cross, ssb
Wakka - full break, sapphire shot, bsb
Vaan - lifesiphon, magic breakdown, bsb

That fight sure was tough back in the day.. I remember honing Death just for it, which i have not used since. Pretty sure you should be able to beat him with those SBs, make sure Ace Striker is on beatrix for more Magic Blink goodness.

Was looking at the new Chain SB's that were just released in JP, getting pretty excited for Multiplayer coming end of the month.

Well, Omega Weapon was pretty easy... he died without dealing any damage to my team. Stoplock ftw. Team I used:

Terra -- Thunaga, Chain Thundaja -- no sb
Braska -- Thundaja, Ramuh -- no sb
Lenna -- Halting Rumba, Curaja -- no sb
Edward -- Mental Breakdown, Fullbreak -- Song of Swiftness SB (30% mag + haste)
Relm -- Stop, Dispel -- no sb
RW: Ashe BSB (Dusk's Decree)

Relm and Lenna both had 620 mind (after RM), which kept the boss stun locked the entire encounter. Edward wore a blind resist accessory for his opening flash, and used mage shout then breaks. Terra and Braska used Ashe RW BSB and each dealt 40,000 damage per round with burst command 1. Fight was over in like 5 rounds without him getting a single turn.
